Pineapple Vlog #3: Communities, City vs. Country, and pay-what-you-want

in #life5 years ago

The country is nice and the city is nice but I've got to make sure I choose based on what I want in my life right now, not what I might want in a few years. I also share here some of my future plans and what motivates me to make money, spreading pay-what-you-want culture.

Sorry about those annoying notification sounds.

I misspoke just a little and plan to go more into pay-what-you-want next time.

aren't you going there soon for travel?

I can't watch your Dtube now because it does not work on my cheap iPad. I'm commenting on you're statement and will watch later.
Do not make choice for the now. Those always work out bad. Always. I MEAN ALWAYS! Consider the future when making big decisions. If I only knew then.....,.,,....
If only ... Right?? Go for the country. Save yourself! The cities are going to get more and more congested as evil control freaks try to usher in agenda 21, 2030 and the end game agenda 2050. Get rid of the smart meter. Repair old appliances instead of replacing. .
When I was a child -very few got cancer and there were no short buses or special classes for the poor souls crippled by greed and unregulated monsters injecting the future earthlings with toxic poison.
Please tell me what newborn is at risk to get hep B? It's a sexually transmitted disease. Yet less than two hours old they are injected with hep B vax.
What is happening in this world? This is why it is so important to make choices for the future.
If only I bought Bitcoin at .98 cents
If only I bought that land on the outskirts of Palm Springs for $4 an acre.
If only if only I thought about the future and not for right now.
It's all fun and games until you spontaneously combust

First time watching your Dtube and I'm happy to be part of your Dtube journey!

Definitely you can uplift many people on Dtube!

I like country side too and but I need people so I'm living in Fukuoka city and let me know if you decide to come and visit!

Happy November !

Thanks man! I will keep it up. I will very likely visit Fukuoka if I don't end up there myself :-P Awesome!

Nice to hear my friend :)

Well, by god! Things really have changed around here! @Whatamidoing making videos?! I'll be! Cool to see you and hear you. Now we can know you better. Weird after all this time! I know, isn't it weird experiencing yourself on video?! I'm not a big mirror person either, so I guess I'm not very self conscious in that way.

Ahhhh I hate it! and I love it! I feel like I've smashed all my rules and I like smashing rules haha

It's better to hang out with people better than you. Pick out associates whose behavior is better than yours and you'll drift in that direction.

You lift me up whenever I read your stuff! Facial expressions or not.

Country/city is such a tricky thing. We love being in the country as it suits our introverted side and love of nature, but it does isolate us, and we sometimes just need city energy to revive. I like the idea of being in two places, best of both worlds, but you're right as you don't get the consistency you need for the community building, whether you are city or country.

I find it so hard to attach value to what I do. I've done some websites for crew and have really loved it because it's a creative process, so I feel bad for coming up with a price. It's always under what I probably should be paid, but what is 'should', right? And if I said 'pay what you want' maybe they'll pay me less than the energy I put out. I guess you have to trust people and that's pretty much hard in a world where resources are, as you say, unevenly distributed. As I was writing this you said 'trust each other more' so that's the crux of it, huh? I've always found that when people do trust each other, some pretty cool stuff happens. I'm more for trusting people than not, despite being chastised for that.

Keep up your world shaking. x

I’m trying to get to a place where I don’t mind if they pay less, and I’ll spend a lot of time spreading the attitude of give more to independent and local along with doing pay what you want. We need to build a culture around it if we want it to work at all.

There is still a lot of guilt and feeling that we are supposed to WORK, and work hard. I basically don’t mind receiving a whole lot of money for what I do, I wouldn’t feel bad receiving a whole lot for doing nothing, I’d just make sure I used it in a way that was benefiting others. I feel we are ALL worth more than we get, and if others don’t want to accept that about themselves, it’s not my job to follow them. In the long run though, I’d like for money to flow into a pay-what-you-want community from people who have a lot of money or from people who would have spent that money at chain stores, so education is important, but first I suppose we need to talk about it more with people who are similar to us and get the wheels turning.

Fuck I love your brain.
