It's Party Time, I Need A Favor!
Tomorrow I will be hosting a party at my place. It is not an ordinary party and not a birthday party either. I am hosting a tattoo party. A chance for people to meet a wonderful tattoo artist, see her work and get some tattoos done.
To note: I will be giving information on the tattoo artist if she grants me permission to do so.
In the small town where I live, we are given a small selection of tattoo artists. The best ones in my opinion have quite a long list of people waiting to get some work done which gives a minimum of 8 months waiting period. It can really suck when you are just itching to get that one tatt you've been wanting to get for ages but it also has its perks. It gives a person proper time to plan out the tattoo, time to change the ideas and to just really thing if that is what that person wants on their skin for the rest of their lives.
But to those that are most impatient and trust themselves with what they want, this tattoo party is kind of like a chance in a lifetime almost - just because you skip the waiting time and it's not done by any Joblo person that has a tattoo gun.
If you are wondering how a tattoo party works, well it's kind of like a passion party or tupperware party I guess. But better.... Wait... scratch that... I have to think if the passion party one may go along the same lines of a tattoo party. 😉
Now, as some of you know I am a pastry baker. This party will be a chance to get myself a little more known, so I will be busy with a lot of baking. The menu will mostly serve cupcakes that evening as there is a kind of cupcake with I will be introducing to the people. Alcohol infused cupcakes. No one in my area is doing it so it gives me a perfect opportunity to see if there is a demand for it. Small population here so it's not like I can start making them and sell them at any point in time. The cost of alcohol will bring up the prices in these cupcakes and that is what makes it also a dessert to make by order.
So! In the title I mentioned that I need a favor. I have no skill whatsoever in hosting any sorts of parties. I am very socially awkward. So I am hoping that the people will entertain themselves with conversation, putting a couple tattoo magazines out and music. What I don't have ample enough of is the music. What do people listen to? What is good music to play in general?
When I go to a tattoo shop, I usually hear metal music. And since metal is my favorite, I will be putting on some classics and not so thrash style metal to respect those that don't appreciate it that much. But what else can I put on?
This is where I need your help. Please share with me your suggestions. In my opinion, music is what ties everything together. If the music is crappy then it will be even more awkward than the awkward things that come flying out of my mouth.

Do you have Spotify? I recommend that you check out the featured playlists. They are made with the most popular genres listened today, and there are different genre playlists so you have some of a flexible choice there. If you're willing to pay premium, you'll be able to play the music on any device, download it and other flexible choices that are optimal for parties.

All the best with your tattoo party tomorrow! Sounds like fun. Although I'm not the guy who'd get a tattoo, I saw plenty of awesome tattoos and look up to people who can not only draw fantastically but then transfer their creations to living canvas.
Music wise (well, I'm not really listening to Metal alot, but do enjoy that from time to time after lots of bleeps and bloops lol), I'd maybe chose Make Me Bad by Korn, Burnin' Blue Like Alcohol by Dessicated Soup, Locust by Machine Head... something like that....

I wouldn't know about familiars. I mean I can go from metal to dance music. But I don't know what general people like. Parties are not my forté lol.

This is really helpful as some of them I don't know and some I wouldn't have even thought of. I don't know Muse, Blur... The Foo Fighters I have heard of some time ago but I don't know what their songs are. Awolnation I only know of the song 'Sail'. Never heard of The Killers either.
