Adsactly Education - Pets, great company

in #pets5 years ago

Watching my pet I feel lucky to have her and I must say that she is something practically new in my life. When I was a little girl my mother didn't like the idea of pet ownership, she thought they could cause any kind of allergy or illness. Now that I have her, since she was a gift from someone special, the affection and love that we can feel for her is indescribable.

Those who have the fortune of having pets can feel the greatest and most transparent love for that being of another species that accompanies him, pets give us their unconditional love and fidelity at all times are like children who never grow up and stay by our side, since we are the ones who provide protection. Their waiting in our absence, becomes endless, yet there they are, always to receive us and somehow seek our attention.

Who doesn't know the incredible story of Odate's Japanese dog, "Hachikó", who waited for ten years for his deceased master at the entrance of the Shibuya train station until he died. What greater proof of love...
According to studies and research, having pets and giving them love not only benefits them, that care generates in their owners more tranquility and harmony.

It is also said that pets motivate us to start physical activities such as taking them for walks daily, playing with them in the park, this will help to reduce the stress caused at work, likewise is beneficial because it is the perfect excuse to increase social interaction with other people who have pets, ie, a walk with them in addition to doing physical activity is can be socialized with other people who are in the same situation as yours.

Research by Miami University in Ohio (USA) also shows that pet owners have higher self-esteem, are more physically fit, and tend to be less lonely and fearful and more extroverted.

But why do you create such a close bond with pets, especially dogs?

At one time I listened to a television program where it was said that the love for pets could be compared to that of the mother with her children, at that moment it seemed exaggerated to me, however it is totally true, although it seems strange, the relationship of people with their dogs increases the production of oxytocin, a chemical substance that acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain and that not only originates affective bonds between human beings but also between other species especially in the case of dogs.

This hormone creates a strong emotional connection between the dog and its best friend, as well as parents and children. It is important to note the importance of eye contact in strengthening this bond between the dog and its master. It should be noted that this was proven from experiments conducted by a team of scientists from the Department of Animal Science and Biotechnology at Azabu University (Japan).

human-dog interactions elicit the same type of oxytocin positive feedback loop as seen between mothers and their infants, the team reports online today in Science. And that, in turn, may explain why we feel so close to our dogs, and vice versa.

Pets of some historical characters

One of my favorite characters Frida Kahlo, she and her husband had many exotic animals, including a deer, which inspired her for his work "The wounded deer"", portrayed with him at some point in one of his wonderful works.

Fido a Sausage breed dog was the name of the mascot of one of the historical leaders and President of the United States Abraham Lincoln, his faithful friend and companion at all times, unfortunately after a while he was forced to leave this little one with some friends when he was going to exercise his office as president and move to Washington

Maybe you didn't know that Martha, the mascot of music great Paul McCartney, was the inspiration for the Beatles' song "Martha, my dear", a dog he loved deeply and with whom he had a platonic relationship according to him. Martha lived until the age of 15, died in Scotland in 1981 on a farm owned by Paul..

Some find it hard to believe but the feared Adolph Hitler was a great lover of animals, especially dogs, the Führer was total opponent to animal abuse, originating then campaigns against acts of cruelty to them..

For his part, the great artist Salvador Dalí had no less than a leopard as a pet which he called "Babou" with whom he travelled everywhere, he was the favourite of the painter, his great companion

It is important to emphasize the responsibility that implies to take care of a pet, its food, its walks (depending on the type of pet), its medical check-ups, are necessary for its health and vitality, however this occupation is advantageous and beneficial for everyone. For those who live alone a pet is a great company and in the case of older adults the care of pets generates in them trust and usefulness, in addition to giving and receiving love undoubtedly reduces depression strengthening self-esteem.

For the children it is marvelous, since the sense of responsibility is created when delegating in them some tasks that have relation with the care of the pet, also in beneficial to handle the sadness and the insecurity of the small one.

So love your pet, fill it with caresses, show it how important it is to you, it is the greatest meaning of love and loyalty.

She is my pet, her name is Pamela and she is the one who every day fills my family with love and tenderness, she is the spoiled of the home and since she is part of us three years ago, she has achieved with her love and loyalty to fill our hearts with the purest and most transparent feeling. So don't think about it, having a pet will change your life and make you a better human being.

What a beautiful post @luces and what a pretty dog you have. I've never had pets, but I have many people close to me who do and I see that affective and disinterested bond that forms between pet and owner. Some time ago I saw a neighbor who bought his son a dog to help him socialize. The changes and advances that the child has had have been incredible. After being an introverted child with many fears, he is now a happy and very friendly child. I have known that there are animal therapies for children with some kind of syndrome or disease, which corroborates how positive it is to have a pet nearby. I loved this article. Greetings and thank you for sharing.

Thank you, my friend. Pets definitely change our lives and develop in us a great sensitivity, having them benefits us greatly in every sense, but also involves a great responsibility. Thank you for your comment.

Charming article, @luces. In addition to the very educational information you provide us, it is made with much affection. I had since childhood and until a few years ago pets with me, especially dogs and cats. They have always attracted me and I appreciate them. It was something in a way inherited from my father, who loved birds. I remember that when I was a child my favorite TV programs were those related to domesticated animals and that accompanied the life of human characters. There is no doubt about the benefits of their presence in our lives.
"Pamela" is very cute. May you continue to enjoy her company. Thank you for your affectionate post. Greetings.

jajaaj Thank you Jose, that's right, they are wonderful, when I was a girl I didn't have pets, I would have loved it, but having her now has even led me to have a feeling of help towards animals in a situation of abandonment, I regret that they are not fortunate like my Pamela who has plenty of love at home. Thank you for your comment

Great looking dogs you have! i can totally vouch for what you say here, being very into animals myself and currently owning a dog and two ducks to name the least. The connection is something that can't be described and totally effects the owners health and character.

I loved this publication, @luces. Having pets is a wonderful experience. Since I was a little girl I've had puppies and I've always loved them! At the moment I have three dog sons (Maga, Bruno and Blacky) who are the joy of the house and we give him a lot of love and care, although every day this has become a great challenge because in my country, having pets is a luxury. They are certainly a therapy for life and provide us with many benefits; connections with them are emotionally charged. They show us pure and unconditional love. Your Pamela is a spoiled princess. I share a photo of my little children to send a little dog greeting to the beautiful Pamela, my Bruno looks like her.

Thanks @luces for your post and @adsactly for spreading it.

Interesting post
With this posting, we know that humans can establish relationships with their pets. You provide interesting and useful knowledge in maintaining good relations between owners and pets. And your dog is so charming.
I know animals can be invited to communicate, provided that our hearts are sincere, we will be able to know the behavior of pets, and in fact pets also know the feelings of their owners. They can know whether the owner is busy or even knows when he is in love. When the owner is sad, dogs usually tend to approach as if they want to entertain a grieving heart.

Thank you @luces
