My today shoots from Wroclaw's Zoo
Hello Steemians!
Today was a great weather in my city (Wrocław) and no model wanted to go out to make some autumn photos (oh well) so I went to zoo. Actually I wasn't there for like 3-4 years already and I didn't know that animals can pose so well in front of camera. I visit few attractions there and time went by so quickly I didn't even notice.
I went by to say 'Hello' to miss Owl there. She was pretty charming and cooperates very well. For sure she was interested in what I'm doing with this black long shiny thingy pointing at her. She stole my heart completely!
I saw a quite fast moving penguins around, I could watch them from top and using polar filter I could get a quite nice blue water there. I think I will try to print this photo and hang it on wall as I love how it looked in the end!
It turns out that this mr bidry also like to be photographed. It seems that lens for them are kind of interesting or... maybe this way she get more food from tourists? Who knows, for sure she stole my hear too!
Mr kitty didn't want to cooperate so from today I like birds, not cats! Mr Cat was rude (which in fact is nothing new for cats in general) and just threw tongue at me when I try the best to make him look good. Well I hope after this posts Mr Cat will reconsider his behaviour and next time he will do better. Knowing cats nature I believe I will see only his butt oh well...
Deers in a small family always steal my heart. They were in a less often visited place and seems interested when I came along alone. Pretty charming animals.
Those flamingos didn't really care about my presence, they look busy talking to each other. Didn't want to interrupt their political discussions so I left them there.
This colourful guy was quite charming and came close by. I could see his awesome colourful feathers when he protects his girl from me. Smart guy, he know I love photography hot chicks oh well, maybe next time I can catch that place unguarded.
At last I want to drop few shoots from Aquanarium - a quite new and beautiful place, yet there was almost no light there and making photos was damn difficult. I'm happy of 3 of them, but they not that great in terms of quality so don't criticise me too much. They are done on ISO 6400 or 12800 so in terms of noise it's... well... it's bad. Not much more I could do there, especially that I don't usually shoot in so hard conditions. I believe I could use somewhat brighter lens, but apart from my Canon 100mm 2.8 I had only a 35mm with me so nothing really usable in there.

BUT this has nothing to do with your photos. They are beautiful. You captured each animal nicely. The cheeky cat behaves like all other cats :) I'm a dog person, I must say, lol :D Miss owl seems to be very intrigued by you. I can imagine that she was thinking something like: Oh man, who is this creature with that big black thing pointing right to me?! :D It looks like you had a great shooting session. I'm sure even better than if one of your models would agree to do a session with you :)

Thank you for stopping by and commenting :) I tried my best with those happy folks around, many photos didn't get trough my selection, so now you can see only those that were interesting enough in my taste. Still with usual human models I tend to make more shoots in general so it's bit different there. For sure I had great time with those animals - a nice afternoon with shooting is always something nice and refreshing for mind :) Take care and everything the best for you!

The location of the zoo caught my attention! My grandmother was born in Breslau and my recentish studies revealed to me that this is now (and I believe was also previously) Wroclaw.

Yes! Breslau is a previous name of Wroclaw. In fact this zoo is oldest in Poland and it was created by German people living there quite long time ago. A little more story of this place can be read there:

And yeah, wasn't really prepared for such bad light conditions. I would bring a tripod or something, but it was so crowded anyway that taking any shoots was pretty difficult. Need to visit this place during a week for sure. Thanks for stopping by!

The way how you photographed and presented the pictures, with zooming of the main object of your camera and blurring up the background and intensifying the beauty of your subject tells me that you are doing that for long time and it feels like you love what you do. The postures of animals really good captured, you might have spent long time for perfect shot. It was a good time you spent in Zoo with beautiful results
Thank you for warm words :) It's true that I love making photos and I do this for quite long time now I believe. I don't do too much animal photography so my vision of them might be bit different than someone who work with nature on a more frequent basis. It might be surprising but most of those animals I just shoot when passing by, they were just perfect models - prepared just for this moment to be photographed :) Very surprising, usually they look like didn't care about me, and it was a nice surprise! Your photos are absolutely beautiful plus the underwater photos. It probably was beautiful getting those shots but I think the quality isn't low at all.

Thank you for stopping by and take a moment to watch my work. If you open image in new Tab you will see that the underwater photos miss sharpness and colourfulness of other photos - this is what I mean about quality. I still like them, they got contrast and emotion that are kind of unique and interesting in my opinion, just could not print them for example :) Animals are interesting to shoot, yet I believe I'm not so patient person to try find them in wild nature. Capturing images like that would be close to impossible in my current life scenario oh well... Maybe when I retire who knows :D

Well, i didn't get to see that without "opening in new tab" so I guess its pretty cool for me😃. Yeah, they have their own uniqueness, so sad you won't be able to print it out...
Not so patient? Well, you still got great shots of the with your little patience, maybe you could practice it more often? Heheheh!
Yeah, life sometimes interfere with these things but you can still practise it when you feel a little bit free, atleast until you retire...
