How Can You Rise, If You Have Not Burned? The Theme of Rebirth

in #rebirth7 years ago (edited)

The Phoenix is a symbol of power, strength and renewal, to be born again.

Rising from the ashes, I am born again, powerful, exultant, majestic through all the pain". ― Shannon Perry

I really like Shannon Perry's books, dealing with mental health, suicide and also animal rights activism, as well as counselling others. An author of poetry and young adult fiction.

We all have to deal with pain in one way or another but how can we overcome the hurt, either physical suffering or our emotional heartaches.

I believe that forgiveness will take us deep into the center of all pain, to maybe find a relieve.

A Phoenix burst into flame when it is time for them to die and are reborn from the ashes (J.K. Rowling)

Our daily struggle with health issues and other life challenges.

I thought about my Indonesian friend today who fights breast cancer. She is so young, talented and now very brave.

I am very sad, it's hard to see some of your friends and family dying after so much struggle with their burden, disease and chemicals pumped in your body.

Some pull through and only "God" knows why some have to loose their lives.

Words of Inspiration and why I started exploring about the Phoenix.

My dear friend @yogi.artist who is one of the early adopters on steemit. I still remember his excellent and smashing articles back in those days. We struggled to get our rewards and attention but not much happened for us.

It didn't really matter. We had lots of fun, great chats, got to know incredible people and kept in touch.

He had personal reasons to quit for a while but now he is nearly back.

He wrote this comment on one of my posts today and I was so happy

"I'm looking forward to posting again once I'm fully back in the land of the living!  A Phoenix from the ashes revival awaits  "

He always inspired or motivated me and once again, I wanted to find out, what is behind the mythology of those fascinating birds.

@firepower I really do miss you so much.

He had a horrific accident, hurt his hand and for now, I can only send him healing vibes to get back soon, I am waiting for his revival in full force.

What are the powers and the symbolic meaning of the Phoenix?

In the historical record, the phoenix could symbolize renewal in general as well as the sun, time, the Empire, metempsychosis, consecration, resurrection, life in the heavenly Paradise, Christ, Mary, virginity, the exceptional man, and certain aspects of Christian life.

Look at this image ! WOW!

In Greek mythology, a phoenix is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn. Associated with the Sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. According to some sources, the phoenix dies in a show of flames and combustion, although there are other sources that claim that the legendary bird dies and simply decomposes before being born again. According to some texts, the phoenix could live over 1,400 years before rebirth - Source Wikipedia

Silly Bird?

There was a silly damn bird called a phoenix back before Christ, every few hundred years he built a pyre and burnt himself up. He must have been the first cousin to Man. But every time he burnt himself up he sprang out of the ashes, he got himself born all over again. And it looks like we're doing the same thing, over and over, but we're got on damn thing the phoenix never had. We know the damn silly thing we just did. We know all the damn silly things we've done for a thousand years and as long as we know that and always have it around where we can see it, someday we'll stop making the goddamn funeral pyres and jumping in the middle of them. We pick up a few more people that remember every generation. ― Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

It's important to recognize the potential and the beauty in rebirth and that sometimes we really needed to destroy our old ways and thoughts to make way for something new and powerful!

You caught on my thoughts 1000% ! Thats what I had in mind. First we need to burn to ash to rise again.
Thank you for your powerful reply.

I just saw that you resteemed this article. Means a lot to me! Thank YOU @philosophy-trail

Thank you. You write so well and much of what you share strikes a chord with me. Thanks for always being there! :)

I am so happy to see your name popping up again on my posts ❤️

Another magnificent post Mammasitta!

I feel truly honoured to have, in some way, inspired this beautiful offering :)

Thank you for being the encouraging, nurturing and loving energy that you are.

I'm very lucky to have you as a friend :)

I hadn't realised that @firepower has also had a hard time of things these last many months. I hope that you're on the mend too bro. Sending all the positive vibes I can muster right now, to you, and everybody else caught up in the struggles of life.

from burning embers shall the Pheonix rise to re-awaken the spark within our eyes

Peace x

What a beautiful way of calling this little write up and "Offering" . Yes, in some ways it was meant as such. Suffering is a form of learning our lessons and how to conquer the pain to fully enjoy our REBIRTH wherever or whenever it will happen. I burnt in those ashes many times and still here 🙄

Breath in, relax your mind, Breath out and smile ....BUDDHA'S have more fun !

I miss You!!!!!💜

My thoughts are with your friend, I think we all have had someone we know that has had cancer.

I am so so sorry to hear. We are so helpless facing such pain .........those are people we care for.
Nice to meet you @azfix

I just checked some old articles and if people from those days are still on steemit! Glad you are 🙏🌈💃🏿

Sorry to hear about your friend, I hope she manages to pull through. Growing up, David and the Phoenix was one of my favorite childhood books. If you have a chance, perhaps you'll find it as captivating as I once did...

Wow ! Thats so amazing that there is a children's book about the Phoenix and a little boy. I will watch and research more right after going to bed. Thanks so much for this comment and video.

Here's a full copy I found at project gutenberg, including all the illustrations:

Superrrrr....Thanks so much for your time to find it for me. Good night for today

no problem, the book holds a special place for me. I almost believe the world might just be a slightly better place if everyone read it! lol

I already downloaded it and will read it tomorrow. The video clip is great ☺️ I really appreciate this suggestion. Can't wait to read it

I read this fantastic story finally ! Wow! @alexpmorris
