I understand your concerns. Steem is very young and we will improve it. The entire crypto movement works for people who are unbanked. Especially Steem where one can earn. If a beginner doesn't have enough RC, DApps can delegate some SP until they can fly on their own.

Yes, it is confusing and the learning curse is steep but in the future it will become easier to understand the system. That's one of the reasons I'm also writing about it so that my followers can educate themselves and not only draw wonderful comics.

Also Steem is not Steemit. There are many DApps to post from. Steemit Inc is a centralized company but blockchain is decentralized so the future is up to us.
