The Crittercrats have been in the trick or treat mood this whole week and today, the official day, they decided to go to the Critteria Haunted House. Ohhh! Spooky isn't it?

Well, today you get a front row seat to this experience in a short animated comic. We wanted to do something different for your entertainment and here it is Steemians. The Critteria Haunted House experience featuring the Mut@nts. Hope you like it!

A lower resolution because I had problems uploading the gif.

The process was a lengthy one that took days in the making. It took approximately 140 digital keyframes to create this. The characters were added, their moves and last the speech balloons and texts. Also, added the timing and synchronization and voila it came to life. This animation brings a different perspective to the Crittercrats world.

This is just a little insight of what it took. We are not professionals. Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by and Happy Halloween or Happy Hallows Eve!

This animation was made in a Motion Computing Tablet Pc using Manga Studio software. The animation itself was made using a gif creator app.

That looks like a tremendous amount of work and many hours spent on this. I'm glad that you uploaded the slower version too as it was difficult for me to follow the 'standard' version. It's probably the best GIF that I've ever seen. I like all the creatures that you're showing. I guess it should be kind of scary but you gave me a good laugh :) Are you doing personalized GIF's too?

Thank you for sharing!

Thank you very much!

Great job on this, the depth in the rooms is really felt because of the animation of it all and them moving around, I enjoyed the variety of the room themes, and my favorite part is the bwwwobbubwub text lol. Really enjoyed it.

Hey, @crittercrats.

I know you said this was just for fun and that you aren't professional animators, but the trip through the haunted house turned out great. The slowed down version of the gif was actually easier to follow what was being said, so thank you for providing that.

You said the animation took many days in the making. Any idea what that was in hours? And it sounded like there was more than one of you working on it?

Well done, and congratulations with the curie. Glad the crittercrats made it out of the haunted house alive. :)

This was a fun project. Took around 24 hours on and off. Thank you very much!

Happy Halloween @crittercrats ! You made a great job with the Hounted House, and the Crittercrats are cute!

woow hello @crittercrats, if you're not a professional, you're very close to being one. i always work in illustrator painting more solid colors and ink type drawings. but this seemed very good, especially for the development from the sketch to the final painting, i know it's a tedious process sometimes and long, but rewarding once finished.

I like the texture that you achieved with the caravel and with the facade and door of the building very well achieved.

I can recommend you to use photoshop to make the animations or much better blender. although photoshop can be more basic you can get good animations with the same base of the gif.

terrifying greetings for halloween.

peace and love, greetings.

Thanks to you for sharing. I hope to see more great work.

ahahahaha!! Te quedó super cool!

Gracias por el voto 667. Hahaha! Rompiste el hechizo. Phew!

Si mano! Me preocupé y to! Ajajaj

Haha the Crittercrats are funny and entertaining @crittercrats 😂. I enjoyed the animated gif, eventhough slow. And 140 digital paintings is a lot! Is that normal? But I guess it is the same concept as drawing the cartoon motion on different pages of a sketch book and then flipping the pages to show the movement right? Thank you for sharing your artwork with us :)

Thank you very much! You need many images to create the illusion of movement. This work was done digitally completely.

Cool. I have never thought of this. In my mind, it has always been traditional drawings on pages of papers to create the motion. But, that is how cartoons are made right? Thank you @crittercrats! You opened up a whole new possibility for me :)

When you talk about "we" what do you mean. Is there more people behnd this account? :D

Hmmm so when you say it's 140 pics needed for this. I guess most of them are generated or? And you create just the keyframes or? And then the software generater the rest (most) of thosedigital pictures or? At least that's what my rationale tells me. I can't imagine you created 140 pics urself haha :D

Anyway, happy Halloweeen as well :D

Thank you! Yes I meant keyframes that were made by painting in manga studio. From characters to images and some modify changes and slight alterations in color and light and movement. We Crittercrats my family.
