How do you find your Work-Life Balance after joining Steemit. What's your challenge? How do you manage your daily schedule? Share with us your stories.
Here's my story
I joined Steemit in the hope to leave my hectic office work. I wish to work from home and that's the main reason I joined Steemit. I wish to be financially independent from earning that I made from Steemit to sustain my work from home life. I hope to be able to achieve this soonest. However, in my endeavor to achieve this I have to balance my hectic office work life to include my Steemit life. I wish it would be much easier but it is not. I become mentally drained, my migraine gets to me all the time that I have to eat pain killer to ease my head pain. As I was a stubborn person naturally, there is no way I will be giving up my goal that I have set easily. I will continue to become the most successful Steemian that promotes positivity and kindness. I hope to achieve my dream of working from home soon, so that I can spend more time with my family and make Steemit my full-time career.

I will give anyone who can respond to my post with good comments relating to the topic of the week and engage with each other throughout this particular week, a certain SBD amount. As my power has not reached a level where I can upvote handsomely, so I will count your engagements that are good, accumulated it and then I will pay you through my wallet the total amount after the 7-days post-payout done, For example, 0.05 per good comment x 10 comments = 0.5 SBD. Aside from this, you will earn also from my upvote although not much, just 0.03 per upvote (depending on my voting power), but if you accumulate them, it is an easy daily earning for you plus the weekly one. So this is topic this week . I want to tell after I join HHG I'm in almost reached 52 level before join this group my level only 36 . For me this is my big achievement . I'm not serious about steemit but after I join HH group . So this Group make me serious and regular . Now I,m everyday post . Even my english is very poor but this group always give pushup and help me . I'm very thankful @ainie.kashif Always help me and give a right way . I have to completely agree with you when you say that the HHG has held us more accountable to be active on our accounts. I too have noticed my voting power change drastically through the week as we continue to share and comment on the topic. I also try to post everyday, but maybe this happens to you, but my brain feels empty and needs a day to think long and hard about what I am going to write about. Sometimes this has to do with other things going on in my life that are keeping me busy. You have very encouraging words.

As you know that I am quite a commitment freak, lol! Part of my work-life balance is to make commitments. I commit to posting each day. That's why I prefer small but clearly define post that are sustainable for a long time. Nothing to think about, do them with my eyes closed.

Now that you mention it, I now see your pattern of commitment and how you have work life balance because it is true, you do have short posts that are still enriching but like you said sustainable so that you can post everyday. That is basically my version of when I post the weird things that keep me up at night. Short posts when I have writers block but I really do have stuff that I wonder too much about that is just silly lol.

You are right my mind never stops and is very analytical and inquisitive. It works in my favour when it comes to social situations and noticing the humour in life. But it does feel wasteful sometimes when I could be sleeping. But it is honestly been getting better lately! Instead I can concentrate on exactly what I want to write about and like you said how to structure it perfectly.

@angelro - yes, it is very important the point you have raised. As members of the group we must visit each others post, we must commit to supporting these members first and boost each others posts. It is difficult because Steemit wasn't designed for this. I will try harder to do this at least once or twice a week. this should be factored in our work-life balance pertaining to Steemit.

This is a great goal to include in our time on steemit to make sure we are supporting each others posts. Especially when for some this is more of a job and passion then just a brief thing to do once in awhile. I know the site wasn't built for this but I am sure that people like me who joined not so long ago planned on having bots controlling so much and built to make people more profit hahaha. Learning that was a bit defeating but I am not worried about the money.

True, it was one of my concern after few weeks of Steemit life and happened in continuous communication with few other members which I thought these people can automatically become virtual friends. That is when there I realized there no option to get a notification from any people that we wish to make. Only we have to check their pages without fail.
As you suggested we must make sure once in a week or so we should visit our group friends pages and support them as much as we can. And from this HHG 5 page it may be easy too

Story about my work life. We have are own business but I never took interest in. I go to office sometime when it’s really important otherwise I’m home. How did i started working on my passion? It took me 5 whole years to know what I excatly want to do in life? I tried many things like programming, interior ect. It was really depressing period for me. But then finally I got to know that I’m intersted in fashion. I spend 4-5 hours searching and reading about fashion. I’m still working on it. Right now, I’m happy and relaxed. But I also want be independent woman. I want to buy my own home and interior it by myself. I have joined steemit because of my dream and I’m sure one day I will get successful on steemit. I want people know me as a good fashion blogger.Hopefully one day my dream will come true. In Shaa Allah! Thank you everyone.😊

As you now I’m not doing any job right now. Being in a family I need to spend time with them, sometime when guests are home or there is family outing. Then it gets little hard to catch up all things which I have missing during this time. Steemit is time comsuming and other sites are too. I have to go through all these. I cannt give dedicated time to my passion. I spend time on my passion whenever i get time. I will soon setup my time for my work life soon. But right now, I’m not taking stress and enjoying it. Something as simple as telling an author that he did a good job with his piece, might be all he/she needs to uplift his/her day.
Authors spend so much time and energy crafting their work.

Hi Shanu, I'm all for you into fashion blogging. It's the happiest to be able to do what we loved most. I am naturally like to motivate people, even in my normal days. I have one time being called to speak in front of 3,000 undergraduates during convocation time about how to apply for a job and do's and don't in job application. So this interest of mine, now I applied to my Steemit blogs and it made me happy doing something that I loved most, motivating people. Work-life balance is a litle bit hard to juggle for now and I wish for all of us to be successful here doing what we loved most. Thanks for sharing with us your stories. You are so right, everyone in this groups is so original and it is refreshing to see so many different posts from people you chat with during the week. Your idea of liking challenges is unique as most do not. I have found that making myself write everyday has been my challenge, but I feel so good afterwards. It sounds like you found exactly what you didn't know you were looking for which is to write about motivation, when initially it was to be about woodworking. That is amazing to me. I am always happy to read motivational posts especially on my bad days. It gives me things to be grateful for just like the people in this group.

If we follow the right rules on this platform and do not beg for votes from people who have high sp, maybe one day we will succeed. The usual thing if the post is still irregular and not focused. Because we are still a beginner.

I am again amused by hearing that a killing income is possible from Steemit and I am seriously thinking to research how. Please elaborate this liking contest. And about writing, its true that there is something behind writing, a self satisfaction. I am nowhere near to call me as a writer but it was my dream too to make something and finally I succeeded to a limit. I am not sure whether it will be recognised in steemit to earn something worth.
My entry to Steemit was that travel blogs as suggested by a friend when I requested to review my blog and she immediately suggested me to join Steemit. My first post in this platform was also one of my blog. Your first sentence says everything, focus, creativity and the price that you need to pay. I am not bothered with the result but what I feel there is some mechanism is required to acknowledge that creativity and passion in the early stages of steemit life. I am not talking about the money part but only so many creative things are there which unattended by this community for newbies especially...I amy be wrong but just saying.
That price to be paid may be mainly time, is it?

@angelro - If you are serious about making money on steemit, you need to realise for many people it doesn't happen overnight. Steemit must be a daily habit and mostly for fun. If you are not having fun, and you are stressed about making money right now, you are going to force the issue and you will not be successful. I want to build Steemit also to bring me a small income one day, but I must commit now for then. In five years from to day Steemit will be different for all of us. We will be dolphins and whales.
Steemit is like the ocean, if you want to swim in the ocean, in the beginning you have lots of waves so swimming is difficult - but behind the wave swimming is easier.
So just do simple things each day to improve your position. Increase you income per post. Post twice if once is too little. Make sure your RP grows, because this makes you more visible.

I never thought about till this moment to indulge with Steemit for money and as I said It is beyond my understanding that it is possible. Must be true, but for me miles and miles to go for to reach anywhere near to the first step of that destination.
Steemit for me is just fun, purely fun to converse with totally strangers (Not the members in this group, all of you are friends now but until I join this group). Sharing the blog like stuff I made for some travelling, some funny photos that has been taken till date - But there is one killing fact now, I look forward to write more and started to look for some interesting photographs all the time. -
Exactly as you said, its an ocean and I am just a kid standing on the shore wondering about the number of waves and number of sand...So hope one day I too starts swimming. like that 5 years time frame..I too may fix a target.

Self belief was one thing which looked like sufficiently shortage in me..haha just kidding..
I like travelling and very lately only I thought of making some sort of write up to remind me myself later, then the same thought was forced me to make it a blog like stuff. Then I googled for few days to get some sort of guidance in writing and I realized it is not a small deal to make a decent write up. Because few write ups I prepared just an explanation without a proper beginning or sequence etc.
Then I was so determined in my mind to make a least minimum of one or two write ups. Then all my thoughts were concentrated only on that aim. All the available time leaving office related and home I spend to ponder about how can I succeed in that and finally I was successful atleast to satisfy myself with a proper introduction and conclusion (which were the most demanding portion)

And the fact that of course Steemit does become addicting at first and making sure you aren't letting it take over your work would be difficult.

I loves that attitude of many members here to earn and stand independently even the earning is relatively lower than what they might get. As you said some platforms are gets us addicted. So better to leave such stuffs like FB, Insta, Twitter etc where there is literally no benefit to life.
But in Steemit as many people are opined, if you can try to squeeze the time from WORK LIFE balance it seems this one is a real game changer platform. Also from the Reputaion score you are already an established member, so keep on continue in the best possible way maintaining your family life so sweet..

I'm not surprised you had a bit of trouble with Steemit in the beginning, it is very addictive. also, steemit has such a lot going on it is difficult to keep track of everything. Hello my fellow HHG brothers and sisters
ON THE TOPIC 8
Well I believe the truth frees us all, and if there is anyone in a similar position as myself then, just as in my blog I tell the truth. As of right now I do not have a job. I struggle with mental illness and in the past few months it has been intense and I am on my way to feeling better. So to keep me occupied, I have allowed Steemit to essentially become my hobby, and my job is to get better. This is a hard truth. I want to be working and I cannot wait to be back in school in September to be a Paralegal. But in the mean time I have to focus on my health so that I can do amazing in University again. I have a long road ahead and Steemit is a constant reminder to keep going. It gives me deadlines (like contests), and something I have to do everyday, and I am proud of myself everyday. Also just like having a job, it has allowed me to socialize without leaving my place which is sometimes difficult for me or I have no energy too. I appreciate everyone here who is working so hard at their jobs, have families, and still contribute on steemit. You are everything I wish to become and I feel I am on that path.

-A hobby/job to do
-People in my life that are supportive and amazing
-Excitement
-Takes my mind off everyday battles

Hi @teggit, my super duper apologies for the late response. I have been away to recharge myself after that big event of mine last Sunday (March 25). As a perfectionist, it was not my best delivery for that event, but I did receive a bunch of compliments from many people that made me calm down. I received a box of expensive chocolate as a thank you note from a club member and also a speech by the Captain complimenting me for that successful event... and so I feel that my task has accomplished and I deserve a deep rest before my next big event in early May.
I am sorry to hear about your battles. I am all with you to keep your mind busy doing something that can keep you occupied from your everyday battles. I am an OCD for perfection and gets frustrated when things doesn't go the way that I like. I am very happy that you are part of HHG, you are gonna make a fine lawyer one day. My prayers with you. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I wish I had more time to be steeming.
I log in in the morning before I go to work, bathroom breaks ( I’ve going to the restroom a lot since I joined), lunch breaks ( eat at my desk, I’ve told people not to disturb me, lol), before I get in my car to drive home (I’m getting home at least 20 minutes later, but not because of traffic, I wonder why), and at home ( between cooking, being a mom and wife).
The funny thing is that I am a compliance manager for a financial broker dealer, in order for me to get an account with steemit I had to ask permission from my supervisors. It is considered a conflict of interest and an Outside Business Activity.
@xlaylamx - Hha, it so funny that your are sneaking off to have Steemit time.

Yes that is another issue we haven't really touch on, if someone is in formal employment they sometimes have red tape which could make things really difficult.
Yes, you really have it tough finding a good way to be on Steemit. That's why I keep my post really short, so I prepare them a month in advance and just cut and paste on the day. I also so do quick, posts and contests. just to keep moving ahead.

Wow you are very excited to be on steemit and that is the best attitude to have especially when you are so busy. I like to hear that you are always checking it and wanting to have more time to yourself to build your platform on steemit. It is unfortunate that your work thinks it may be a conflict of interest but I am glad they gave you the opportunity to have an account so that we can get to know you. The only time I find it being a conflict of interest is we get so addicted to checking it. I know I make myself eat breakfast before I check it hahaha.
Hello @xlaylamx, Welcome again to HHG5! I can actually feel your busy days as I am having one myself. And on top of all that meetings and office works, I need to also write for the magazine. The write up involving interviewing and profiling long-serving staff which is quite stressful for me to juggle in between my busy days and to remember deadline for submitting the story for the magazine publication. I always complaint that I wish there's 30 hours a day so that I perhaps can have more time to complete some tasks.
