Calling All US/CANADA DTubers for Meet-Up + Over $2,500 Giveaways Courtesy of Yours Truly - @NiagaraFalls
Hello my fellow DTubers & Steemians from the North Americas! We need you! All DTubers who make videos - whether you've made one video or you've made hundreds! All are welcome! I'm trying to organize a DTube Meet-Up @Niagara Falls on one of the Monthaversaries for DTube. We can pick one of the following dates:
March 11 (Sunday) - DTube's 7 Month Anniversary
April 11 (Wednesday) - DTube's 8 Month Anniversary
May 11 (Friday) - DTube's 9 Month Anniversary
I'm also going to be donating some equipment as giveaways to help you with your DTube Videos - namely the following items:
- Manfrotto Monopod with 3 Prong Extender (can act as a tripod as well)
- Shotgun Mic
- LED Video Light
Our studio will also be giving away 5 Photoshoots to help you get some new Profile and Cover Photos! (Valued at $400-$500 CAD) Our gift to you for just showing up! I can only do 5 because if I did anymore, maybe my entire time at the meet-up will just be doing photography and I want to be meeting YOU!
It'll just be so cool to meet you guys, learn from one another, have a blast in one of the most relaxing and chill places on earth, encourage one another and be refreshed. We can also brainstorm some awesome ideas that can improve the platform and each others content. All Steemians are welcome too! But the giveaways will only apply to DTubers.

Totally stoked about this, to me I see this as someone whos had ALOT more experience with running a business so if you are interested in this platform it must have some level of long term profitability for you. Yet because it seems that steemit is built around self instructing the community that means long term for us aswell just consuming your content. I am trying now though you have to to tell me the secret of the @dtube upvote lol ;)
Woah your in Victoria @d00k13? I live in Bellingham, WA - but I have family on the island! My grandma lives in Comox and I grew up going to Cambel River every year because my grandpa lived there.
I grew up in Port Alberni, lived on SaltSpring Island for awhile, now im in Victoria yes!

Yeah, I’ve been part of / started over 7 different businesses so I do see a lot of potential in this platform. I’m all in, man. Especially after seeing how it was built. It was built out of passion. And anything like that has a bright future.
That’s a great question that I wish I knew thhad answer to! Lol - I am still unsure of every video I upload. I guess my only standard is “can this help someone out there?” If I believe it can, I’ll produce it. Whether it gets attention or not.
Maybe I’ll make a video about that. Honestly, I just feel lucky. I don’t think anyone truly knows. If we get a biscuit, we just gotta be grateful and not take it for granted. That’s why I’m trying to give back in whatever way I can. I’m just grateful, brotha.

I would love to do a meet up around here, I started in with a scooter gang when that was my thing but my scooter died before the meet. lol
The ferry for Vancouver Island is pricey but I really loved living on Salt Spring Island, would be a great location. Get anywhere in 45 mins..... Mountains ... Ocean ... Town .. .. Fields ... Orchards .... Crazy Dancing Town Hippies..... its a hoot major small town vibes..... then the saturday market is a zoo but awesome for artisan what ever you want or home grown veggies
My sister used to live in Victoria. She loved it. I can’t believe I still have never been. I’m sure there are a bunch of meet-ups in Vancouver for steemit :)

Hey, @phototutorials I would love to do something like that its funny I was just thinking the other day it would be cool to get people together. I'll be keeping an eye out for the date and hopefully, I can come but have some personal stuff I'm going through so I might not be able to make it. This is perfect I live about 45mins to an hour away from Niagra falls so it will be easy to get there.

Yeah, brother, I live about 45 mins from Hamilton and about an hour away from Niagra falls I already got a ride set up and if I cant stay the whole time I'm going to at least try to make an appearance.

I’ll try to contact individuals directly. I keep forgetting that I’m a late night owl and not everyone stays up past midnight like me. Lol

So I have noticed that it would be best to upload during prime hours otherwise things are just overlooked in the feed, to bad I am not particularly active during the day on steemit. I will have to start saving some articles for day time posting with busy.org then maybe figure out how to use my crap hp all-in-one for a screen share with my image overlay..... way outside my relm of understanding lol .... anyways post articles during the day as I can and rehash my thoughts in the vlog, will also give me subject to talk about and data points for my brain to wrap words around.
I was just happy to make use of the ipad and iphone 6s for some decent video so far, free apps for mediocre intro/ outro but it is a solid start I believe.
Hmm. I’m checking out busy.org right now! First time to see that. Is that basically the same as steemit but just organized differently? All the apps are great, but I think dTube will be the major game changer.

No but you can put your links through busy dying to work after you’ve done the initial upload with the tube it lacks the video hosting interface
Ahhh okay. I still switch back and forth from steemit to dtube. Is it easier to find your replies and such on busy?
About the same as steemit little bit more aesthetically pleasing
