Steemit Sandwich Contest Week #79 - The world's most decadent Peanut Butter Sandwich
So my first sandwich this week for @jaybird's Steemit Sandwich Contest Week #79 was a super healthy Keto Biltong & Cheese Pre-Valentine Wrap
But that one was for hubby who started a Keto diet this week, I also had one of those wraps but still indulged in carbs before I start following the same diet plan!
I could not think of anything better than a decadent chewy chocolate brownie - a definite no-no for a Keto diet with all that sugar, unless I change my recipe altogether - will be peeping at my fellow foodie @birdsinparadise's healthy food blogs for some ideas :)
Then another crazy thought came and that was making the most decadent Peanut Butter Sandwich ever, using the already decadent Chocolate Brownie!
So this is my second sandwich for the week.
Sweet & Simple Ingredients
- Chocolate Brownie cut into squares
If you'd like to see the full recipe, please check out a blog I did a long while back, but replace the mint chocolate with dark chocolate.
- Peanut Butter
Spread a generous layer of Peanut Butter on one square, looks like caramel, but that would really be taking it over the limit now not so!
Sandwich together
Pipe Peanut Butter on top
My heart is filled with joy and delight :)
Decadent peanut Butter Sandwich cut in half - I had to hide it away as it was not fair to hubby who's really been good with his diet. However I could not hide the aromas coming from the oven when the Brownies were baking. I'm a terribly wicked wife!

Yeah, that doesn't make the Keto top ten list, I'm sure.
But it sure enough looks good. Peanut butter and chocolate seem to go together pretty darn well.
There is a really lot of good stuff to eat on Keto, but sugar is out. I gave up on sugar years before I stated Keto, so it wasn't a big deal to me.
It's the sugar that's holding me back @bigtom13, I know it's bad for me but it's almost like an addiction!
Hubby's been good but battling with low glucose levels as he's still learning to adjust his insulin injections, using much less so that's great!

If Rolls Royce made peanut butter cups, they would be like this... It's nice to imagine eating this. I'm taking a six-week break from sugar, and I have two weeks to go, so I won't be making it any time soon! But it is nice to dream :)

ha! oh man that is indeed decadent lizelle! I love that kind of stuff. The only way I can do keto is to have a cheat day every once in a while for things like your decadent brownies! lol.. this is wonderful, well done.

howdy today lizelle! well I bet the Keto experience is going to create some good posting material and some experimental recipes so I'm looking forward to those. But as far as the chocolate brownies...brilliant idea!
Makes for a completely different idea, I like it @lizelle, not being one for eating very much sweet this sounds intriguing.
Dark chocolate brownies, together with peanut butter.... Yes that would make for an unusual snack.
