Steemit Military Veteran Community Is Buzzing About Steem Monsters! 5 Booster Pack Giveaway!
It's been quite a while since I have seen the Steemit Community so excited about a project. Watching others open their @steemmonster card packs is like watching a child opening gifts on Christmas. People are genuinely happy and excited about a card game being launched on the Steem Blockchain.
The game is very new and still in Alpha stage but it is already bringing Steemians together from many different communities and that in itself makes this project a success.
I was really surprised to see in Military Vets Discord that so many vets are already involved in the game. Some are selling cards. Others are chatting about forming a Vet Steem Monster Team. Some are giving away cards in Steem Monsters Discord as I type this!
The Vet Community wanted to support the game by giving away 5 Steem Monster Booster Packs to help continue the buzz but most importantly....to help keep the comradery building going among Steemians.

LOL it was a joke, every one played monopoly at some time in their life. Great way to learn basic of markets and capitalism ;-)
Now 10 hour later is probably too late, but here you go, the other day I was traveling through Wyoming and I saw this game in one of the stores, it is Monopoly type but with interesting sites and places that Wyoming has to offer. It is a great idea and every state and country should probably follow the suit. Well they probably do, I'm probably just not paying attention :-)
I though that was cool, and I decided to get one. Later we played the game and memories came back from looooong time ago, decades, when I last time played the 'real' game.
Although I was struggling for a while, few lucky dice throws helped me winning the game. The game looks nice, but lack proper amount of houses, cheapskates! ;-)
As of playing cards, many many (decades) years ago I played Magic the Gathering tournament somewhere in Europe. Small country, small town and there was around 50-70 players if memory serves me right. It was my first and last tournament since I realized that tournaments are keep requesting to play with new card editions, which means keep buying new cards and as a teenager I had then other, more important priorities, where to spend my money lol
I played with white cards, my goal was to finish in the top half and I actually managed to finish close to top 10. I got lucky since that was my first play ever with anyone.
Wow. What a reply. Had no idea there were Monopoly games connected to States. Magic the Gathering always interested be I never played it because the ppl that played seemed to play the game for hours. Thanks for the share.

Guess what, I can't believe this, it was my first booster pack, didn't have any other card yet and in this booster pack was LEGENDARY. Wau!
Now that I have a legendary, I will have to buy me a starter pack also :-)

We played tons of Backgammon and Cribbage on the sub. I think that's one of the major ways we stayed sane! haha Too many good times there to pick just one, so hope this qualifies...

Yes a rare is good. The game is still very new. at this moment we are only collecting cards. Actual game play will begin around third quarter of 2018, By then we should know card attributes and how game works
4 good friends playing chess for endless hours in uni. We had to invent our own version that combined two boards! Good times!

I've had so much fun in my life playing with friends on Minecraft servers. :D Playing on a friend's server and holding a whole conversation with two other friends using the /me command is my favorite memory. And then there was the argument over whether the "Mine" or "Craft" in Minecraft is the focus of the word (apparently there are people out there that love the mining more than the building). Command wars and just plain building and talking are also fond memories.

I can remember a weekly game of draughts growing up. I'd play with my grandpa, losing most games. After a game i'd sometimes mow the lawn, and then ask for another game :)

Hubby and I would chill in the barracks and play “need for speed” for HOURS! They would suffer from my attempt at cooking, no one died though. We would end up drunk most nights and would walk home. Nice thing about Grafenwohre Germany is its a small-ish base.

Yeah we where married the day before he went to basic. He is the vet, I am the vets wife. We went to Germany, Brooklyn and back home to Alaska. He did 2 yours to Iraq and speradic through out his 12 years active, Army.

Just stopping by to show my small support. You were in the Discord room with the card giveaway and saw this post. I believe you are in there often doing some kind of giveaway. It’s very generous of you. I too think it’s great that the game is bringing people from different communities together. There is a buzz of excitement in the air, and even I am affected! I’m not a gamer or card collector but the fun is contagious. 🙂
So here is my last fun game story (I know the giveaway is over but I will share it because you reminded me of those good times)
It was Thanksgiving and the family decided to play Cranium. I really did have to force everyone into playing. Imagine a room full of overstuffed individuals trying to guess the other’s drawing or doing charades. One example was someone trying to do the running man for his charade and being just a bit tipsy. We really did have some good laughs and everyone had a great time. Despite my forcing them to play in the beginning.
OMG. I love Cranium . We have it in our game closet. And it always feels like i have force others to play it. Its such a fun game. and always ends up being so much fun. Thank you so much for share. pack sent
