RE: Depressing SEO insights into the teenage student's mind?
Isn't there a current 'downtrend' in sociology, as a subject? (from a students interest perspective?)
I see this area as being one negatively affected for yourself (possibly).
I won't go into my own postmodernist rants here, but just positing the possibility that it might be a 'diminishing market'..?

( I noticed a post you made a while back, about having to move and 'live in a hovel' somewhere abroad...
My hovel is a detached 1 bedroom bungalow with balconies and aircon, and tiled throughout...far from a hovel ( unless you are living in a mansion now of course! lol)
The rent - including electric and water - is only around $230 a month.
So don't despair !
Here is a pic from the balcony after picking some fresh chili and coriander(cilantro) from the garden..
A level numbers have actually increased in the last five years, but that reflects demographics.
Sociology had increased relative to history which is a good sign.
I only need 20 sign ups - currently there's 40K students!
Your rent sounds cheap! Good strategy. Why pay for what you don't need!

I don't think any trends, one way or another, will really effect your needs, then..
I downsized over the last 10 years, from 250k a year, down to 20k, and all the free time that comes with it.. (and being a much nicer person!)
I like my life debt free and simple, nowadays...
Cool... that'd a hell of a drop!
I'm quite happy around that $20K a year mark.
