SteemQuest : Goblins in the cellar (part 1) [New Players Always welcome see end of post]

Some of our party has ventured into the cellar of the Tavern to assist in restocking the bar with kegs of Ale. During their mission to recover more spirits for the party, Thunk & Erirnaeg discovered some goblins.
With a mighty war cry and a drunken swagger the duo closed with the goblins and swung wildly.

Missing the goblins completely the dwarf and the Barbarian bust out laughing. Confused by this reaction the goblins were stunned. Instead of attacking back they grouped up and started talking in goblin.

Meanwhile Happyme and Quaid are coming down the stairs to lend aid to their drunken comrades.

We are playing on 2 maps currently. The cellar map is using boardgame rules until the combat ends. The tavern is using RPG rules so you can move about however you want.

Combat Rules
“Each player has 4 actions”
“Moving 1 square is 1 action”
“An attack is 1 action (yes this means you can attack 4 times)”
“You can move diagonally”
‘You can share a square with 1 ally only. (Monsters can also be 2 to a square)”
I am adding a run option
Running takes a minimum of 2 actions, you can spend all your available actions per turn running, each actions past 1 adds 2 squares of movement. So if you run for 2 actions you move 3 squares, 3 actions is 5 squares, 4 actions is 7 squares. The drawback is if you attack after running you have a -3 to your next attack roll.

How to attack
You call to the bot ‘@rolld20’ you need to roll your attack or less. If you are using an area of effect spell you roll to see if your aim is good. If it is off ‘rollthedice’ to see how many spaces you are off.

Meanwhile upstairs Zarvagos is still at the table pondering his large amount of debt, while Lorelei takes a seat and listens.

I singe my gear on the fire blazing next to me. I look back at the Elf and give a WTF look. And I thought the Elves were supposed to be the smart ones. (All in character)

I kick the goblin carcass behind me and step back one. I bow deeply and allow the Archer (Quaid) access to the last one. “Show me what you can do with those flying sticks”

How do you keep track of all the character stats? I need a reference (even for my own)!

Thanks... I found the page with all of the characters on it and have a tab open for it.

Sorry guys, my internet is getting REALLY censored these days and I might not be able to join for a while, f@#$@%#@#^ing ISP providers in my country.
BTW, have you told the people of the gaming communities of this project?
I know of 3 right now:
Archdruid gaming. OpGaming and Keeping it Steem. More eyes and coverage can't hurt.

The other gaming communities sounds awesome but I’m not really sure how to contact them.

Zargavos starts heading downstairs after recent events in the tavern, though by the looks of it there may not be anyone left to fight by the time he gets there.

If I can shoot diagonally, then I fire off my fireballs from where I am, otherwise I need to move North so that I'm in line with my enemies. I'm also assuming that I can shoot past my friends. @rolld20

Is there anything else standing? If I'm allowed to shoot from my current position AND there is stillan enemy in line-of sight, I use my remaining 2 actions to shoot again. @rolld20

One way or another, that one doesn't count. Rolled too high!

Rules say:
Fireblast (1 mana, 1 action) Range 3
Fireball 2x2(1 mana, 2 actions) Range - LOS (Line of Sight)

So Fireball lights up 4 squares with fire. Since we hit the first two greenies, I assume you hit the the next one with LOS. That square and the three adjacent are now on fire.

You missed with the 20 so you now need to roll to see where it went.

In character Thunk yells “Whoa Elf! These kegs are flammable. Careful where you aim. We ain’t done drinkin’ yet”!!

So Fireball lights up 4 squares with fire.

Oh! So THAT'S what the 2X2 means! I had no idea! THANKS for the clarification.

What life do the greenies have? Do they die on any hit? Or do they have several hit-points each?

If there are no other enemies in my line of sight, then I would NOT have shot off the 2nd round. I only rolled because I was unsure of the rules and didn't want to hold up the action. I would prefer to use my 2 remaining actions to move north if I am able to shoot from where I am and if no more enemies are within my target range. Is that OK, @simplegame?

Actually, after studying the map, it seems that the last greenie way at the back wall is also in my line of sight, so I should stay where I am to shoot again next turn, or move closer to the door in case he moves! Not sure which would be better! Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
