I’ve been practicing tarot privately for about 15 years but I'm finally ready to get out there and help others with my cards! I know readings can change mindsets and bring true solutions to many. Tarot readings are a wonderful way to connect to your inner self and learn where you can improve.

I’ll provide the book’s interpretation as well as my understanding of the cards and go into a bit more detail in the dtube video - so be sure to check out the video to get a more in depth explanation of your card.

A Quick Bit About My Deck

My deck The Fairy Ring is based in Celtic myths and legends.

As with the traditional tarot, my cards have four suits - but are represented by the four seasons. There are four court cards for each season which have a general meaning as well as could possibly point to a specific type of real person. Also there are eight festival cards which represent the chief fairy feasts/holidays (similar to the traditional major arcana) which have general meanings but can also point to specific times of the year.

1. Fairy Festival | Yule

Book’s Interpretation - reversed

Yule reversed indicates lethargy, fear of change, refusal to move forward, ignorance

My Thoughts

Yule signifies the approach of a new cycle - it is halfway through the dark, just like the time of year it represents. Are you feeling stuck - like there is no end in sight? Or perhaps you know some change is required but you are refusing to move forward. Yule reversed can also point towards an ignorant way of thinking or a mental bigotry of some kind so maybe you have caged yourself into an opinion or belief that needs a revamp or to be discarded all together. Yule’s main message is one of closure and the winding down of something - maybe a project or even a mind frame. Explore your options and go with your instincts - if you’ve been putting off a change of some kind the cards want you to release that procrastination and take hold of the reigns.

2. Nine of Winter | Unseelie Court

Book’s Interpretation - reversed

Reversed the Unseelie Court indicates a low threshold for boredom, seeking out novelty for its own sake, dissatisfaction and pleasures that only last a moment.

My Thoughts

Are you just running through the motions? Has the world lost its color to you at the present moment? When the Unseelie Court appears reversed the cards what you to see that this bored feeling or general disinterest in something or everything is coming from what is surrounding you - be it the social crowd, family or mindset around you. The lack of motivation and purpose is coming from your situation in some way. Try something new or something old that you haven’t done in a while. Try reaching out to someone new from a different social realm than you.

3. Six of Spring | Garconer

Book’s Interpretation - Reversed

If Garconer is received reversed, his message is that you are ignoring present circumstances and opportunities to live in the past, dwelling on old loves and glories.

My Thoughts

When Garconer comes through reversed the message is one of nostalgia. Are you wallowing in past adventures or who you were in the past? Reliving the glory days can have its purposes but when the cards show you Garconer reversed they are warning that you are taking it too far. *I’m going to steal a page from @traciyork’s book here and add this quote because it is so relevant:

4. Fairy Festival | Samhain

Book’s Interpretation - reversed

Reversed Samhain indicates immobility, constriction, censure, quiescence.

My Thoughts

Samhain reversed points towards a stalemate of some kind or a stagnant mindset. Do you feel as if your stuck standing still while the world just passes by? Samhain is a festival card with strong ancestral and psychic ties so most likely this stalemate has something to do with familial issues or intuitions. Maybe you feel disconnected from your lineage or your psychic connection. Maybe you are trying to tap into your inner/higher self but having trouble and this has caused you to feel stuck. The cards are telling you that this censure is damming up your gates and to release the assumptions you have and let the waters run free. Try asking your guides for help or even reaching out to an elder member of your family to find that connection to your past.

5. Fairy Festival | Beltane

Book’s Interpretation

This card heralds mighty forces of strength, blossoming, flourishing, growth, happiness, love, marriage, new relationships, fertility.

My Thoughts

Beltane just passed (last Tuesday - happy belated Beltane everyone!), when a festival card comes through right at the appropriate time of year I always see it as a beautifully powerful synchronicity. The message of growth is extra strong right now. It can be felt like a second wind of creativity, blowing in and sweeping you away with new ideas and yest. Maybe you will attract a new relationship or have just started one, or maybe you’re relationship is ready to take that next step into long term commitment. Love and happiness are in the air at the moment so be sure to relish in the energies. If you are not feeling the love currently the cards may be nudging you towards new relationships, new ways of thinking or approaching projects. Don’t hold onto the restrictions and confinement of winter - spring is in full bloom don’t be scared to open up too.
