Thaiphotocontest 25: sunset photography by Mae Khong River, ภาพพระอาทิตย์ตกดินที่ริมฝั่งโขง

This is the second day of thaiphotocontest25 on sunset photography. Times flies and I have already missed the first day of the contest.

My sleeping habit has been affected by Steemit routine of reading and upvoting posts. Life is getting crazy around here in Bangkok. So, I have to post my sunset photos which I took last weekend in Nongkhai to ground me on this earth. I wonder why I could never get bored with taking photos of sunsets at the same spots by the Mae Khong River. The sun is still the same sun, more or less, and the sunset can look very similar to other evenings' sunsets. Yet, each time I stand by the river I could feel something new every time. I ask myself whether I have been imagining things and getting over excited by sunsets. Why other villagers never show the same kind of enthusiasm and excitement as I often show by running towards the river and clicking away for more photos. I always keep walking up and down the road to get the best angle for my photos.

Local people must have thought that I am a crazy city dweller who probably never see colourful sunsets before in my life. I couldn't help feeling strange when local children and villagers just ignore the glorious sunset and quickly get on with their activities. Why don't they feel the sense of awe and sacredness of the sunsets the way I do? I would have loved to discuss with them how they feel about the sunset and whether they could feel something special. I guess I am too psychic or have too much of an alien influence in myself. I often feel that I do not really belong on this earth; I happen to be put here for some purpose. I often look at the stars during dark night trying to locate my home star far away. Perhaps one day, they will come back for me.

เวลาผ่านไปเร็วมาก เราพลาดวันแรกของการแข่งขันประกวดรูปภาพ พระอาทิตย์ตกดิน นี่เป็นวันที่สองแล้วหรือ ชีวิตค่อนข้างเร่งรีบและปั่นป่วน เราคงต้องรีบโพสต์ภาพเพื่อให้จิตใจของเราพุ่งความสนใจมาที่ความงามของพระอาทิตย์ตกดินดีกว่า นี่เป็นภาพที่เก็บได้เมื่อสุดสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว เราตื่นเต้นมากเวลาไปเดินเล่นถ่ายภาพ และจะพยายามหามุมสวยๆเพื่อให้ได้ภาพที่สวยที่สุด เราอดแปลกใจไม่ได้ ว่าทำไมเด็กๆและชาวบ้านไม่ตื่นเต้นดีใจ และนั่งดูพระอาทิตย์ตกดินเหมือนเราบ้าง พวกเขาคงมองดูเราถ่ายรูปซั้าๆกับพระอาทิตย์ตกดินแบบเดิมๆทุกสุดสัปดาห์ และอาจจะนึกขำที่เห็นคนกรุงตื่นเต้น เหมือนไม่เคยเห็นพระอาทิตย์ตกดินมาก่อน เราอยากจะถามเขาว่าเขามีความรู้สึกพิศวงที่เห็นแสงสีสวยๆ หรือได้รับพลังอะไรแปลกๆจากพระอาทิตย์ตกดินหรือเปล่า เด็กๆและชาวบ้านไม่มีใครมานั่งเฝ้าพระอาทิตย์ตกดินเหมือนเราเลย ในทางหนึ่งเราเองก็รู้สึกว่าตนเองไม่เหมือนคนทั่วไป เพราะมีประสาทสัมผัสที่หกที่ดีค่อนข้างมาก เราคิดว่าเราไม่ได้เป็นชาวโลกและโลกนี้ไม่ใช่บ้านแรกของเรา เราชอบมองดูดาวในคืนเดือนมืด เพื่อค้นหาดาวที่เป็นบ้านแรกของเรา เราถูกส่งมาที่นี่เพราะเหตุผลบางอย่าง เราก็หวังว่าพรรคพวกของเราจะมาเยี่ยมเยือนเราที่โลกมนุษย์สักวันหนึ่ง เรามีคำถามที่อยากได้คำตอบจากพวกที่มาจากต่างดาวมากมายทีเดียว
