- Exploring the Farmers Market - :. wendsdaywalk .:

in #wednesdaywalk5 years ago

If there is one place you should definitely take a walk, it would be the farmers market. A place in your local area that becomes a busy town square. Not all farmers markets are the same but they are close enough. Close enough that the vibe and beat of your local farmers can make you feel like you are traveling somewhere else. Exploring the tents and stands of the farmers market can be a eye opening experience. Getting to see all of what your neighborhood has to offer is a special thing. Supporting your neighbors and the local farms is special thing. Some of the hand made items you can pick up are special things. The whole experience is unique and special thing aside from what you will normally see happening in your city. A farmers market can be many things but one thing it should not be is skipped. Walking the farmers market is something everyone should do in their city at least once a year. Supporting local and seeing what your city has to offer.

Here is Salt Lake City we have a number of farmers markets. The best one though is the one that is held in the center of the center. It is in a park that is normally empty, but in the summer it becomes something else.

Fantastic farmers market shots! You really got some wonderful photos! I would not be able to pick a favorite, but that one of the sunflowers is so beautiful!

Thanks :D Yea you got to love the farmers market. The market always makes getting photos easy. There always seems to be something to photography. Thanks for stopping by.

Loving the carrot and sunflower pics here. You have such good color and composition. I agree people should get out to this type of market more. It puts the regular stores to shame.

Oddly enough I feel like the more colorful carrots do taste better as well, haha. I think you are right though, the farmers market does put stores to shame.

Thank you! :D You have a great day as well

The sharpest photos I've seen today, are super colorful and beautiful. The last one is my favorite, super cute and creative♡

Thanks a lot! I had some fun shooting these photos. I try to post nice photos on here but not all of them are so nice though :/ lol. Thanks again for stopping by, come again. :D

ehy dear @bricbric, amazing pictures !! you are right, people are in a hurry, they work late and go shopping at the last minute supermarket in the city. but in this way we lose the real rhythm of nature, the beauty of the simple things that come from our land and are delicious. I agree perfectly, we need to support the economy of our community, even if it may lead us to spend a few dollars more. keep on .-))

I couldn't agree more! We need to slow down and enjoy it, what ever it is. Even at the end of the day if you spend a little more money or you take a little more time doing something, it is worth it in the long run. I am defiantly going to try and be a whole lot better though. haha. I going to support local as much as I can.

right, also because we are the example for future generations and this is very important .-))

Not all farmers markets are the same but they are close enough.

I agree. I visited several farmers markets in the midwest and in all of them we could feel that special vibe that comes from people who love the earth, love their fellow human beings, care about quality, are super nice and knowledgeable about their art and generous enough to share some secrets with others so that others can also have good harvest.
I loved that about the States.
I love the set of pictures that you have posted here.
I love the retro feeling in the texture of the images, the casual postures, the closeups to seemingly unrelated motifs.
All the products look so vividly fresh and calling.
Just beautiful

Thanks a lot man! Yea the markets are amazing and I wish they did more things like this here. I feel that everyone is heading towards the big stores and box style stores. I love the farmers markets and I am glad enjoyed this set of photos as well. Just another reason to come to Utah ;)

I know, right? Utah is becoming more attractive by the minute. If only immigration regulations were a bit less restrictive!

Fantastic shots! I love farmer markets even though the majority of weekends I'm somewhere on the way but when I'm at home I always enjoy them and make sure not to miss them. Recently I visited my family in Slovakia and they have the farmers selling their veggies every day on the main square. It was so easy. You don't have to wait until Saturday but you can pick your fresh veggies every day! It was however much smaller than the one you showed us :)

I like the variety and the atmosphere coming from your photos is great!

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!

Thank you, Thank you! :D That sounds amazing really. I remember visiting some markets when I traveled over there and they are kind of what got me to go to my local market more. I am jealous you are traveling so much but I do hope you get into your local farmers market when you are home. lol. It can be like you way to travel your city.

My travels are not that exciting though... the thing is that I'm Slovak and my husband is Dutch and we live in Switzerland. Before we both used to live in different countries. I was in Belgium and then Czech Republic and he was in Luxembourg. So we have family and friends all over Europe and this is our traveling. If we want to keep those relationships we have to invest a lot of time during weekends..

That sounds exciting though. I find that if you have a reason to travel it is a good reason to travel, haha. I find it fun to travel and a necessity for people to live a happier life. So if you can travel for family even better. Traveling for work is a bummer though I will say. lol

I agree. I traveled a lot for work and it's exhausting. You spend all days in meetings and go somewhere for dinner with your colleagues. And this is every day. Then you pack your stuff and go home..

You are right, traveling for family is much better :)

Dang, that does sounds like a lot of extra work. seeing the insides of hotels does get a little old after awhile. I can imagine it making traveling exhausting. Hopefully you get a break from work travel soon, haha.

Except for the bubbles this post can be related to many in their lives if one make deep look into the snaps, but like many other great blogs looking into this gets a refreshing feeling too. You have shot some nice snaps to make this post attractive like the sunflower and the last one of the bubbles need a special appreciation too.

There is some value addition too in this post as farmers market concept is to be considered as something serious in every country. A pesticide free safe to eat vegetables are really a dream for many and I recently started a startup business in this regard, SO i can understand this importance.

Thanks for this post... Cheers

Thank you :) Thanks for really checking out the photos. It is cool to take some photos of stuff that have more to them then what meets the eye. haha. I love the markets and I love that idea as well.

wow bricbric, lovely post. all the colors of life in one post, I love the carrot shot - how some of them are highlighted with blurry background and so many carrots shots. Then that old man playing guitar by roadside and the bubble shot in the end is cherry on cake for a viewer, lovely visit and thankyou for sharing, congrats on your curie vote :):):)

Wow :D thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the walk. It was a lot of fun checking out the markets and getting these photos. The morning light and the cool vibes of a place like this make getting photo easy. haha.

ehehe yeah patience to click in the cool environment :p
