Give in to Kindness
From the stillness, they came

A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

But only God can make a tree.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"

Love each one of your photographs, even more that of the tree, nature is wonderful, and also very true your words, goodness attracts goodness to our life, we do not always receive it from the people to whom we give it, but we always receive more, there is no doubt about that.

But, what a wonderful problem to have, is it not? I feel fortunate to be surrounded by such generous, caring individuals. While some don't start out that way, I believe that you can indeed kill them with kindness or die trying.

I've always loved Joyce's poem about trees. I think it must have been one of the first I learned. As a wee lad. So long ago. And a fitting tree-based shout out to that special guy of humor and fun on here.
Sorry you are getting flooding. We could use a bit of rain, but not THAT much. I assume your rivers are getting full. Like the one I used to ride across from the Americana to the Smithsonian world of joy? Is it up to the bridges?

The floods have receded, but, not before the press grabbed some shots of three piecers, standing on the roof of their cars, texting 911, the water almost getting their shoes wet. All because they went around the barriers of the flooded roads. It was pretty not fun here and I did get off work a day or three. The White House basement got wet as did the Pentagon and even the Metro. Oh, how can you spell fun? It's all better now. Mostly.

I’m one of those people who loves it when it rains! We been getting some good ones down here. Best ever when it’s during the night and I can just fall asleep to the sound.
I too love a little rain and it is usually at night. The Washington, DC area was flooding, including The White House, The Pentagon, Streets around town and so on. People standing on the roofs of their car in their three-piece suits - on their cellphone calling for help. (truly a site)

Flooding on Washington is called emergency situation, we are helpless when nature strike its own way, hope everyone sure get rid off, beautiful flower and happy treetuesday.
