#MeneMonday: Mene Box on a Weekend trip, Tears & Sugar- FICTIONAL Sharing
I made plans for a weekend trip six months ago with the intention of meeting up with a friend who resides not too far where I was last weekend.
Some friendships become cold, as this friendship did about a month ago. It was quite so confusingly unexpected.. but... who knew that would happen?
I already had my plane tickets and already paid for my entire hotel stay... so I decided to go ahead and enjoy the weekend in my aloneness, LOL!!!
The fact is: this Mene box is from that friend. And here it is with me in my hotel room. I noticed that the decor has not changed from two years ago when I stayed here last. So if you traveled to this place within that period and stayed in this hotel, then you know where I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday night!
I had lunch at Le Burger Brasserie on Saturday. No, I did not order the $777.00 burger. I would have ordered it for my friend. Unfortunately, that friend did not have the slightest clue of my plans and that for three nights I was just a drive away, LOL!

Something occurred that Saturday which hurt me so much. My default to-do when I am hurt is to get a sugar-high. After wallowing in tears in my room, I spent the entire Saturday afternoon in the city pigging out on sweet food and candy!
BTW, after crying in my room for over an hour, I reached out to that friend. I got an email back the next day, Sunday morning, as I was about to leave for church and responded back immediately. I told myself that if my friend emails me back by the time Church is over, then I'll dare suggest that we have dinner on my last night there. What do you think happened?
I just made it back to the house from the airport and I am pressed for time to complete this post, so no gifs today... just scroll down if you care to check out the sugar photos. By the time you're done, you probably would guess correctly where I had been this weekend.

I think that you can choose any type of cheese with the $777 Burger and they'll add it on with no charge🤣. It is when you order it with Don Perignon that it hits $1K for a burger meal😮. Sorry to hear your friend went cold, sadly that does happen and when you have no idea why only makes it worse,

It seems like you've had some experience with that, @tattoodjay😁?? I have not had any falling out with any of my friends, yet! I believe in just being genuinely good and upright, and always nice and kind to people even to just acquaintances. I do shy away from toxic individuals and try to keep my distance. In general, I find that the friends who get to know me love me to death 🥰💖... that's how they make me feel anyway. I do know that some people are either hot or cold, and there may be friendships that can be salvaged when it becomes cold and some that can't because it really all depends on the willingness of both individuals... and no $777 burger bridge it otherwise, LOL😁!!! I haven’t really had that happen to me as such I am a go with the flow and would like to think I am a good judge of people and stay clear of shady or people I get a bad feel about
But have seen it happen to my wife she sees the good in everyone and had had it happen to her

I am like her, most definitely! I only see the good in everyone. Then when I discover that a person is not really good, then I hurt myself with disappointment. But don't get me wrong... I get disappointed, not only other people.... but with myself a lot too, and it saddens me that I am not perfect.
None of us is perfect and would be a boring life I think if we were our mistakes help us to grow
I do try to see the best in everyone but for some people the alarms go if in my head as soon as I meet them I am still nice and civil with them but I am always wary of them in the back of my head and in most cases when that happens whether days weeks or years later I am proven to be right so I do trust my gut instinct
