Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today's recipe is about having a good breakfast and feeling like you just had the best dessert in the world:p PEACHES are absolutely my favorite fruits. There's no other fruit like peaches and you can't change my mind. What's your favourite fruit?I would love to hear it, so please free to comment in the section below.ย

There's no summer for me without peaches. No No No! And they are in season right now. I always try to buy local and organic ones and thanks God, you can still find these in Romania. And hopefully this year I'll be able to plant some peach trees in my garden. Anyways, hope you'll like this recipe as much as I did (and DO). ย

Caramelized Peaches layered on Quinoa Flakes Porridge Bed ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Ingredients: ( 2 servings - 3 servings)

Porrdige:

  • 1/2 cup quinoa flakes
  • 2 cups almond milk (or any vegetal milk)
  • 1 Tbsp sweetener (agave, honey, maple syrup)ย
  • one cm of vanilla beanย (optional)

Layer of peaches: ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  • 5-6 medium peaches
  • 1-2 Tbsp Honey (or any other sweetener)
  • 1 dash of cinnamon
  • 2 cm of vanilla bean

Instructions:

1. Start making the porridge. ย Combine the milk with the quinoua flakes in a saucepan, bring the mixture to a boil, add the vanilla bean and then reduce the heat to low. Cook everything for about 5 minutes, stirring continously.ย After 5 minutes, put the lid and let it cool down until you prepare the peaches.ย

For full directions with pictures attached, follow this link.ย

2. Cut the peaches in slices and put them in a pan. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

3. Turn on the heat and saute them for about 5 minutes, stirring ocasionally. Then add the vanilla seeds, cinnamon and the honey (or the sweetener you chose) and let them for about 2-3 minutes more.

4. ย Put the porridge in 2 bowls and then add the peaces on top!! Enjoy !!!!

Your photos look great. Great job creating a storylineโ€‹ from a recipe idea.

My favorite fruit is sweet mangos from Indonesia. I lived there for over 10 years. They don't taste as good in the US.

Hey @sumatranate! Thank you for your kind words again. And thanks for telling me your fav fruit. I love mangoes too. I'm not sure in Romania we found those from Indonesia but I like the ones we have here. I can't remember the source of them right now. Anyways, I believe you on the foods from US. I was in Canada for almost 2 months and I didn;t like the fruits there. I'm not sure if we can compare America with Canada and other places in Canada (I was in Vancouver) but I really found the fruits there bad. Can't compare with these in Romania.

Looks so good, I love peaches! Although I think my favorite fruit is probably strawberries or kiwi. Only thing about kiwi is if Iโ€™m feeling lazy it seems like so much work to get to the fruit for so little fruit, but I could eat it all day.

Hi Jennifer! Thank you for your kindly comment.I love all fruits, including your favorites:p And well, when I want a kiwi and I'm lazy enough, I just cut it in half and eat the middle with a spoon. I highly recommend you to do the same if you didnt try it yet, and I'm sure you'll stick with this habit!:p Cheers from Romania!

Great tip thank you so much! I never thought to try that.
