⏺ Turn everything you touch into gold! Part 1

TO GOLD PART 1-min.png

hustling brings a dollar for today. Mastering you craft brings wealth for a lifetime.
-Unknown-

That's one powerful piece of quote!

I think that's a good balance too. Knowing that you need to work really hard in the initial phases of things, but knowing that not only will the work payoff in some 'instant' results, but also longer-term benefits.

Everything! That's the whole point. So what does this mean?
Okay, so for those of you who don't know what it means to turn everything you touch into gold, let me tell you.
Have you ever noticed those people who just don't achieve much? Okay, wait. That's a bad example. Let's rather flip the situation around. Have you ever noticed those people who are just able to make anything a success. Anything they try, it just works for them. Well, this is the concept.

It's about the mentality of taking what you've got, and making something great out of it.
Who do think think is more resourceful? The kid who's parents gave him a $1000 gaming PC, or the kid who gathers scrap PC components to try and build his own PC? Obviously the second kid.
Why? Because he is making something out of nothing. Turning his efforts (Scraps) into gold (Something better).

This is simply a way of life. I like to think of Oprah Winfrey when I think of this example. How Oprah was able to take her terrible situation, and go from homeless to multi-billionaire status. Then comparing that mentality to all the people who simply won the Lotto and then lost all the money.
It's no coincidence.
Stay tuned for Part 2 where I will be discussing how this mentality can be embraced in any part of life, including how it can help you with your journey on Steemit. Let me know your thoughts!

I think at the end of the day it comes down to a split of how certain people think.

Some expect for things to just work, they feel entitled, they deserve it. Those are also the ones that complain and look at things negatively when they don't succeed regardless of the amount of work they put into what they were doing.

Then on the flip side there are those that have been against the odds and see the competition and the success' and say "I can do that", and then they bust ass, pull strings, scrap together what they have to in order to make it work. Those are the people that when they don't succeed, they identify the reason why, fix it, and go headstrong at it again with improvements. They don't expect for it to work, they don't feel entitled, they don't feel they were born deserving it.

It's Rock Lee vs Hinata almost (although neither of them were arrogant or self-entitled). Rock Lee had no natural talent and had to bust it to get anywhere, and he did and he became a bad-ass ninja. Hinata was born a "genius" ninja, but she was fairly worthless until she shed that mentality and started looking up to Naruto and busting ass as well.

Yeah man, but Naruto was talented and worked hard besides that.
Lee had no talent, so doesn't matter how hard he worked Naruto became the greater Shinobi.

I think you explained that comparison nicely Shade! It's pretty accurate.

I think the one thing is the deserving part. I believe people who WANT things, do not get them. People who WANT, are the first example of characteristic you explained.

People who truly DESERVE what it is they want, are the people who achieve. In order to be deserving, one needs to pay the price. It's that price that most people are simply not willing to pay. Most people think it's a ripoff, and think it's too expensive.

Nicely said :) Stay tuned!

Sometimes luck helps a lot, but yeah mentality is the key.
Thanks for posting :)

The harder you work, the luckier you get.

I think that about sums it up :)

It is exact translation of a proverb in Urdu (language we speak in Pakistan). And it is very motivating.

My mom always gives examples of such people and tells us how they do it. There is a very simple formula: do it like you mean it. There is only one way to make things happen and that's doint them. Everyone has the power to do so. It is just that you got to realize it.

WOW that's very interesting! Thanks for that insight.

There is only one way to make things happen and that's doint them

AMEN TO THAT! The only way. And as you said, it's very simple.

Thanks for that my man :)

Steemit is my biggest challenge to make good of everything!

At some point, I felt that my art projects didn't have enough exposure, appreciation and succes. That moment when you're about to quit showed up very often.

But something inside me knew that it's something more than that, my passion and determination helped me to go further and to work as if I was the most successful designer!

Here I share a lot of works I believed in, but I was scared of their "missing result".

Now everything connects like a big puzzle.

Thank you for inspiration! Thank you.

P.s. @adrianv deserves in my opinion a shout-out, check him if you like:)

Steem on!

This is awesome! :) I love the perseverance in your attitude.

You will do great here if you keep your positive mentality!

@adrianv deserves in my opinion a shout-out

Thank you for the nomination. I will go and see what he is about :)

Thank you!🌞

My pleasure :) I checked out his stuff. Thank you for the nomination, he's a good one. I let him know you nominated him :)

Thank you again!
🤹

My pleasure! :) My latest post is up! Part 2.

You got it right. It all boils down to one point: Perseverance and effort can go a long way. You should establish yourself and set your goals. I believe that hardwork really pays off. I have not yet succeeded but I am working on it. I'm claiming success as early as today. I always make sure to post at least one quality post per day or two as I'm working full time as well. My posts might not earn that much yet but I know it will eventually. Thanks for sharing! ❤

Perseverance and effort can go a long way.

It sure can! I think just deciding that you're not going to settle for anything less than your ultimate vision and goal. That can do a lot.

I sense a good vibe from you :) You have a strong determination in your words, and I like that.

My posts might not earn that much yet but I know it will eventually.

I like your confidence. That can take a person a very far distance. I am very sure that if you keep up with your current pace, it will not be long before you are doing very well. Just remember to never be afraid of trying new things and innovating. Because it'll require that until you reach your 'sweet spot'.

If you ever need any assistance, you are welcome to reach out to me. I am on Discord and Steemit.chat, and of course here. I currently have a ton of unread messages I still need to get to on there, but I'm working on it :P So if I get some time spare, I will help you if you require some assistance.

I appreciate your effort in reading comments and messages such as this. I've started writing here 19days ago. That makes me a 19day old minnow. I still have a long way to go and I am certain that I'll be able to learn everything I need to know as time goes by, bit by bit, ofcourse with the help of generous and expert Steemian like you. Thank you so much!! ☺️❤

Awesome stuff! I took a look at your blog and you are doing a great job :) Very much how I started on this platform. Stay positive and consistent and you'll be good to go :)

I really follow this philosophy of mine that long term happiness is way better than short term relief.

I am willing to work a bit harder and struggle a bit if it will lead me to future happiness instead of enjoying each and every day.

Love that man! That's a solid philosophy.

Do today what most are not willing to do, so that you can have tomorrow what most are not able to have.

I think I heard Les Brown say that. How true! Thanks for that :)

I really dig your images. They really pop out and just drag you in. new to steemit and loving the community. The hustle is real and I know it will pay off in the long run. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for that feedback! I am glad you were attracted to the visuals :)

The hustle is definitely real :) But it's worth it. Wishing you a great time on this fantastic platform!

Stay tuned to Part 2.

Cheers. I look forward to part 2. been away for a few days sorry just seeing your response.

yo love the feel of your posts - very uplifting and releasing hope and courage. I think my content could get some more exposure - i write primarily about parenting my 4 kids and helping them write history. I also hate depression and like to write and put out tools to help people live with purpose and direction. Check out my last post about our need for both dreams and discipline. https://steemit.com/depression/@breakthrough/the-marriage-of-discipline-and-dreams-6x6-tool

Thanks for those awesome words! Very nice of you to say. I think conveying the energy in one's words holds power. I appreciate that you are enjoying the feel of my content :)

Man that's awesome! I personally have my own take on these situations, as I think you are in control of your life. Anyone who is going through something tough, is only there because they allowed themselves to be there. If someone is struggling, all it means is that they are weak, and need to build up the strength to really overcome the situation.

That GIF though :D

I like the theme of your post this evening it reminds me of an audiobook that I've been listening to call the science of getting rich which I find highly motivational the book that is not not just a concept of getting rich. Anyway you can have in check that out check it out you can get a free download just do a Google search the science of getting rich PDF. So the other reason I was checking out your blog is because of kind of lines up with some of the things I've been writing about on or more micro-level discussing how to build websites and start online businesses multiple streams of income so anyhow just want to shout out to you and I'll probably be checking you blowing every once in awhile I was kind of fly

Nice message :)

Thanks for that recommendation! I will keep that book in mind for sure when I decide to read :)

Awesome stuff! Keep up with your theme, and you will be able to build an audience specifically for your category of topic :)

Thanks for that! I appreciate your nice words.

Just wanted to say thanks for your reply . keep up the good work

Oh you are so truth the way we think and the attitude we have can change our world. By the way you make such a pretty post.
Want to read second part, would be in touch and will be reading you.
I need you to explain me the Shout-Out Saturday post and how it works out.
Keep it up !

you make such a pretty post.

Thank you my friend :) You're very sweet!

Awesome stuff, Part 2 will be up soon.

I need you to explain me the Shout-Out Saturday post and how it works

Well, it's a a post I do every Saturday to give a person more exposure who I feel needs it. What I am doing now is I have my Post Promotion Threads that I do. Where people go and comment their post links. Then I go and look at them all and give my genuine response to each and every one. Then I pick from those candidates who I will be using in my Shout-Out :)

Does that make sense?

OOohh Great, so helpful for all those starting in Steemit like me. Thanks for explaining me <3

My pleasure! To be honest I am glad you come to me, because I am confident I can set you newer members in the correct direction.
