A little family slowdown
The sun is out and for a few hours the family gets to be together and do very little. This is life visiting the grandparents. Our daughter loves being here and having a little garden to play in.
I am hoping that one of these days, we will be able to either travel or, get a little place where we can have a little garden ourselves to take care of. It is nice to have somewhere green to play though and learn to care for the environment.
I remember doing this as a kid with my mum and we had a lot if edible foods. Almond trees, apricots, figs, mint and a massive amount of spinach. My mother was a good cook and she made a brilliant spinach pie.
Perhaps in the future more people will disciver the pleasure and importance of nature, especially those in the cities. If I was a town planner, nature would be integrated into every aspect possible. I think if people spent more time surrounded by green, they would be much calmer. I don't mean money either.
Unfortunately, it does currently take money to change this world for the better as we just aren't ready to volunteer at the levels needed. I think things could be very different when my daughter is my age and if we make the right moves now, much, much better.
If there is ever a reason to work toward, it is for a better life for our children.

Hopefully things would be different when your angel is all grown up. Like you said, we're just not volunteering or doing enough to protect nature at the moment. We need to act fast.

Its family over everything. When kids are growing up they should be brought up to understand and value family. The strength of a family is like the strength of am army, it lies in their loyalties to one another, or so they say
Aww, your daughter is so adorable. I totally agree, the city life has caused us to lose touch with nature. Having more green is 100% a necessity, and although I have no evidence I can point to, I know that interacting with nature, even in such a small way as starting a garden has a positive effect on mood and stress, well, it does for me anyway. I wish all town planners thought the way you do, it would certainly make our cities more beautiful if nothing else.
I think beautiful cities make a difference to the way the city functions.
I remember as a kid how much I loved getting dirty helping my grandma in the garden. I think it is also important for children to know where food really comes from (not the grocery store).
One day our children will look at the world we will leave them with and they see us in one of two ways:
as the villains who were too selfish to change the world before it was too late, or
as the heros who loved them so much and did everything possible to change all that is broken in this world, not for us but for our children.
In the same way that our parents and their generation created the world we live in now, our generation is creating the world that will be left to our children.
I have my suspicions as to which one it will be. I hope I am wrong.

I know what you are saying. It is important to have your own space where your daughter can explore. We lived in an apartment for some time and even though there was a garden it just felt awkward as everyone just watches you. It's the freedom to plant and do what you want and in total privacy. I know you will get there and it won't take long. Just keep ploughing on and you will reap the benefits. I know very few people with the drive that you have and you deserve everything that comes to you. It is the right reasons and that is why you will succeed.
This is the plan for now and I am hoping I can pull a few with or help a few later.

You are wonderful for being there for your daughter, a good father always stood to that. You actually make me remember when my grandma was still alive, I and my mom together with other member of the family used to visit her, she will cook us 🍽 that is yummy more than my own mom, lol. They are always good.
Money is not everything in this life, happiness with nature thus matters too. Love of things embedded in nature will always make us happy and appreciate God more.

You had an excellent upbringing since childhood and you can see that you attach great importance to values, you are sowing in your daughter the best knowledge and fun to become a great person, there are many who do not pay attention to their children and do not know they realize that they are forming the future and it is necessary to plant great things in the future to live in a better world full of harmony and beautiful landscapes
Beautiful daughter, pretty pictures. I love to spend time with grand parents when I was young but unfortunately I lost 3 outta 4 and I’m only left with one . I must say you have a lovely daughter
