On February 1, 2018 is the day that I started here on steemit. That’s roughly 11 months ago . I had no idea what I was doing steemit being the first social media platform I have been on. They learning curve is so great that it almost makes you rethink proceeding with steemit. I have so many shortcomings if not for the people of steem I would not be here.
Let us not forget that I have been absent for the past two months and still the people are here engaging with each other just like a family would.

Steemit is the people that make up steem. Steem is nothing more then a coin. Where as steemit are the people that hold the coin and is the heart and soul of steem. The people I have met I cherish. They make me smile. You make me smile. You give me an understanding of life. I don’t want to go to deep so I will leave the meaning of life there.

I read a mention from a person this morning I engaged with a while ago that rock my heart. It gave a purpose to being here that if I never do anything else completes or makes being on this platform successful. We do not truly understand how we impact people around us. We make comments as if the are nothing when in reality they can change lives. And they do, we just never get the feedback that shows it. This morning I received that feedback.

I have talked about ripples many times. (Stolen from @tarazkp) we never see the ripples and their impact on others once they leave us and expand out. Ripples are small and of themselves meaningless. They don’t have the power that a large wave would have but they have the ability to grow and overwhelm any situation or problem. A comment is a ripple. Make the ripples you create count. Because they do have an impact.

It’s been almost a week since my chemo. My head is a little clearer and I seem to be handling the chemo better with less recovery time. I also slept for 5 1/2 hours after I finished the insurance post late last night. Writing helps because it makes you use your brain. It is important to keep mentally active. There will be times that I would make no sense but I have to keep going. Sitting idle leads to , well we all know where it leads. I will not roll over. I will not give up. I will push and keep pushing.

We need to make some changes. Reevaluate where we are and a path forward. The price of steem is very low and after the announcement of @ned I fear the price will drop further. This will hurt many people. I have never placed my faith in the price of steem short term ,so this has no effect on me. I like the low price of steem. It provides a way for me to power up that I would not have otherwise. I believe in long term steem.
Where is the value in steem and what is the position needed for the future.?

The power or payoff in steem will be in the people. I have had this conversation many times with @thedarkhorse and is the reason for the discord channel payitforward, pifc. The goal is to support minnows and redfish. They are the future. Throw in a community where the members work teoghter supporting each other and you have the recipe of success. That is what pifc is and why it is. Communities is the future of steem. Wether it is steemit, esteem, steemify or another social platform platform doesn’t matter because it all is based on and use crypto steem.
I am watching people dropping out. Engagements drying up. I can tell you that I am not going anywhere. I made that commitment . I hope you don’t. If you need to take a break, I get that, things happen. Stay in touch in the discord. Communication is powerful. Take advantage of it.
