2020 Stacker's Goals: A Tubular Journey of Wealth Retention
I started a series called "2020 Stacker's Goals" as an offshoot of @silverd510's #twentygoals.

I've been discussing and sharing with my stacking sisters (@kerrislravenhill, @dixiesilvergirl, and @agscottskiwi) about my stacking strategy and plan for 2020.
They know that the end goal of my silver stacking is GOLD.
I've shared with them my frustration that it's taking me forever to get to the "right time" to exchange my silver for gold.
The primary reason is that my stack has enough top premium silver items which drive my average cost so high that my personal threshold of silver to gold ratio is out of wack!
The high premium items are coming primarily from high-end bullion coins, modern art rounds and hand poured silver.
I think that I am pretty much like many veteran stackers…..I lose focus and get off track.
Sometimes I get “caught up” in that new silver that has just been released or even the beautiful vintage silver that I come across!
And before I know it, I realize that I have totally veered away from the strategy that I started with.
Some say that publicly declaring one's goals, and providing frequent updates on goal accomplishment will help ensure success.
But here's the thing... the vast majority of stackers keep our real precious metals stack a secret. It is one of the incredible things about stacking physical metals .... we really do not show our entire stack.
I will make a small exception for 2020, so that I can keep to my goal.
No... I still will never show my entire stack for the same reason that your stack is not for public consumption.
But I will show you everything that I will accumulate in fractional gold for this year 2020!
My goal this 2020 year is to bring you along my journey to complete ONE tube of fractional gold coins...
and any other gold piece that I will acquire in 2020, such as this one...my first gold piece in 2020!

Personally I feel like I continue to be a fool to buy them ( only because it is not in my goals to be a collector of pretty coins... they are AWESOME and very beautiful coins!), bestie, and you know that I will need to get the 2020 one when it comes out, hehehe! If and when I need to sell my silver fast, you and & I know that I will never, ever be able to recoup the premium paid on those, arrrrrgh!!! I feel like I am almost "forced" to collect them. They are beautiful, but they are regular bullion coins just like any other silver coin.
I am feeling better, but I will need to take several days off again next week. I had a caregiver come over to live with me since the other day. Her contract ends on Friday. Hopefully, I will be able to cook for myself by the weekend. Her value to me is more in the company and the security she provides since I cannot protect myself while I am not at 100%.

I’ve thought about it many times on selling off my semi numismatic coins. The only way I’ll ever be able to complete my the few US coin series I’m trying to is if I sell them off. I can’t just keep stacking silver Bullion it’s way too boring. My gold stack is extremely small, so maybe I’ll work on that a little. Sucks that the price went back over $1500 though. Well see I’m still undecided.

I think your goal is the same as mine, we love those beautiful Silver rounds but...I made the switch from collector to bullion stacker years ago.

Gold is definitely the end game. I think more than ever, individuals are waking up the the fact that if we are to be sovereign, we need to trade in "sound money." That will not vanish in value like the typical fiat tokens.
I am also looking forward to some gold this year :)
You and I think alike, my friend! Besides, gold is so easy to store and bring with you anywhere... a pouch of gold goes a long way!

I actually went to see if you had an alter ego called @goldsaver888! 😳
I like the plan you have to trade for Gold but....Why not keep all of that Beautiful Silver, especially the higher premium quality rounds and just stack both?
This was my plan for years, I would go to the LCS each month and pick up generic Silver, plus a special Silver round, and then add a fractional Gold.
There are so many fractional Gold coins selling just above melt.
The best of both worlds, and diversification is the name of the game my friend!😍😀🤗

Actually, my goals for this year is the same as it has always been since I started stacking: Everymonth- one fractional gold, minimum of 5 American Silver Eagles, and a minumum of $2 face value of US Constitutional coins. And of course I end up buying more in $ for precious metals, and I always miss out on building the foundation of my stack FASTER ... I want to get my weight goals out of the way so that I can go crazy and let stackitus take over! My consolation is that I only get what I want, so there is never buyer's remorse with me.
I enjoy discussing with you, @silvertop. You and several here on steemit are serious veteran stackers and who I respect much. There is no fooling you around, hehehe!

I really Like the Perth Mint Swans although I don't own the last couple of years releases. @silversaver888
The Swan is the series that broke their mold of bullion coins. It made it unaffordable to stack Perth Minet coins, unlike the Kookaburra and the Koala series. For a while there we all complained about how they are now like the RCM, and just tapping on the hype and mass-producing designs and abusing the definition of "coins" (like the Perth Mint taking a popular dragon design, put it in a bar ,then called it a coin, because they are a government coin mint and could do so!). It is crazy!!! I really need to focus on what I really really want and keep the end in mind!

Question: What does the 888 mean in your user name? I know it's considered lucky in the Chines culture, or so I'm lead to believe. Just curious.
My YouTube channel username is Silver Saver. ANd I messed up when I opened my steemit account... so SilverSaver still exists but I couldn't locate my key that I had to open another one. And YES triple 8 is my lucky number and is attached to my very first email address. It is the infinity sign (that is why my gold ring is an Infinity Ring, and a very lucky number in Chinese numerology. In college, I had several American Chinese girlfriends who actually suggested for me to use it. I even tried to get that number for my car plates, hehehe. But did you also know that in Christian Numerology, 888 represents the Christ Jesus?
Great to see me again? I haven't been away...I blog a couple times a day, you must miss them all. Anyway, I figure the 888 had something to do with China. Hope you're well.
