But then you have the camp who are even more radical and mind fucked who think every kind of language and conspiracy theory should be spouted in the name of freedom of speech.

well for one @anarchyhasnogods put me on an automatic downvote for every post. He is trying to nuke my account which he may very well be close to doing. Not because I will capitulate, but because of my own malaise with steem and “what’s been going on”
However this guy is just downright poison and I have never subscribed to nuking accounts - ever
So In my eyes when you talk about freedom and justice it either means something or it doesn’t. I would invest 15,000 to just fight this guy.. but like you said steem is down. Perhaps I can strike a cord with achi and anyone else who cares about “freedom of speech” and responsibility

MySpace was centralized. Steem is way bigger than Steemit Inc. There are some really amazing apps/projects going on. Steemit Inc reducing costs is a good thing because their constant selling Steem to pay those costs was a big anchor on Steem price and this money was being inefficiently spent. They have been spending perhaps 10x what they need to on infrastructure costs. Hopefully they’ll fix this and others will share the load.

Actually I found an interesting fighting method designed by the SAS for near black zone use. It is lethally violent, and as such hard to practice, but it is impressive. I have spent a little time on that, it amuses me.
But steemit does have this weakness, and that does NOT amuse me! There should be a limit on the number of down votes one account can give to another account in a months time! This would still allow down votes for sub standard postings, but it would neutralize the bullying!

Who defines 'hatred'? Who decides which 'conspiracy theories' shouldn't be tolerated?
For example, if I published a post titled "Debating the Holocaust" in which I invited people to discuss the events that took place between 1939-45 in Europe without assuming that everything happened in the way the history books tell us they did? Would that be acceptable? What about discussing climate science and global warming without assuming the 'science is settled' as we are told?
I can't work out where you stand but maybe I'm just not reading your work correctly.

Sorry you think I'm trolling you. I can assure you I am not but I now think I understand where you are coming from. You don't support free speech if you believe it is hate speech that might lead to hateful action. The key words are 'you believe' and this is a problem for me. Your understanding of what happened between 1939 - 1945 in Europe while Hitler was running Germany is almost certainly different from mine but it doesn't mean your understanding is correct (mine neither). Would you consider it hate speech to discuss the Holocaust and as part of the discussion call into question the central tenets of it (6 million, a plan and gas chambers?)

Well perhaps the numbers can be questioned, but why does that even need to be discussed. it's semantics, sure 6 million seems like a big number but our minds can't fathom even 1 million. I just know my grandparents families were liquidated in the holocaust. Land confiscated. So anyone questioning numbers is just a shit head to someone who's family 100% lost their parents, brothers, sisters.. it's a fact to me as I have NO family left. Anyone discussing the number of 6 million has a different agenda. I know what happened from first hand sources (my grandparents) and the numbers on their arm to boot.
Sounds kind of like the time I refuse to go to war 4 silly reasons. Or the time that the radical vegans wanted me to apologize for speaking honestly.
