Today being @stokjockey's #piratesunday, I brought out the sack of US Constitutional coins from my treasure chest to have fun with!
I think that Constitutional silver is the best way to start stacking.
And please do not ask me how much I have here. I just keep buying every month and put them inside this bank money bag!

Hehehe.... I will count my silver coins just for you, my stacking ss @saffisara! I know it is over $100, but less than $300 face value. It is really a good way to start stacking. A dollar face here in the US is about $12.50. Our US COnstitutional coins are still plentiful, but of course, they remain scarce because they are no longer minted. I am sure you will find lots of old silver coins from when your government mint was producing them. I am curious about your silver coins. Have a beautiful Sunday, my friend!!! In Canada I'm not sure my silver coins can be called Constitutional , maybe Confederation? I have have them in tubes since I don't have an original vault bag.

I've heard and read them to be "Constitutional" silver as well. And You have a lot.
Taken from WIKIPEDIA: "Canadian dollar, half-dollar, quarter and dime coins minted after 1919 and before 1967 contained 80-percent silver. Those minted 1919 or earlier are sterling (92.5%) silver. For these coins (1920 - 1966), every CAD$1.00 in face value contains 0.6 troy ounces of silver. The 1967 quarter and dime were minted in either 80% or 50% silver. The 50% quarters and dimes continued part way through 1968 until the mint introduced the 100-percent nickel versions of all the coins mentioned beforehand. The Melt Value of Silver will end up at $3.50 per ounce...
That's 350.00 per ounce, if measured in Fed Dollars...
We will Pay $3.50 per ounce of Silver, then Coin One Ounce "Five Dollar" Silver Eagles...

Hmmmm... I like your predictions, @pocketechange! SO glad I also have my jar f clad coins. And, according to you, I should keep those (I usually convert them to silver coins), just in case the reset happens sooner. But once I fill that jar... I will start a new jar and start saving them to exchange for silver. HAve a great day, my friend.
I've been doing that way before I came to STEEM. It's covered in my "Micro-Stacking" series of articles. I am not as bold as "pockets", to put numbers on it, but I am confident that COINS will be worth more than their fiat equivalents in the near future. In fact, some already are! Even the base metal coins...
For U.S. Coinage to reach โSound Money Statusโ an Ounce of Silver must go up to $350 Fiat Dollars... Keep that in mind...

And thank you for being FIRST to comment, @stokjockey! The bag got so heavy from the last time I took it out, hehehe. There are many naysayers about US COnstitutional coins. I dunno, but I think that they are the best ones to have. Just like the Morgans and Peace Dollars, these really feel more like money, than bullion silver.

Why melt these coins? I cannot understand that concept! Assuming there is the reset, these coins will be the medium of exchange, because they are real money. No need for others. Melt the bars and rounds, and make them into these once again... as circulating legal tender money, not bullion silver.

In short, @silversaver888, they MAY be melted, but not necessarily. In 1980 when Silver hit $50ozT, they were melting NUMIs and collectibles of all types, because Melt Value exceeded Collector Value. We expect a much higher melt in the future, it will be triple digits AT LEAST! $350ozT is a reasonable number, that is the floor value for reclaiming silver traces from electronics and landfills.

I have quite the swarm of WAR NICKELS, 35% โฃโโโโโ
The place I obtained these let them go for MELT Value, because the refiners paid well under actual value. I paid about 1/3 of the actual Silver Price and I have about 300 of them. Great SCORE, I'd do that over and over if I could! ๐
I have several silver War Nickels... gifts from my favorite @dwingsworld!!!! I think I will post an article about those!!!

They are an awesome addition!
It was brought about because of the need for NICKEL in the war effort. NICKEL is a hardening agent in Iron Castings, which were used as engine blocks in tanks, planes, etc. So they "donated" the US coinage reserves for the production of Iron, and substituted SILVER! But you already knew that ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
By the way... I'd love to check out the Dates and Mint Marks of your Silver Coinage...

Hahaha... you are so funny, @pocketechange! I've checked each silver coin for dates and Mint Marks before putting them in the money bag. I do not know exactly how many coins are here, but I am guessing that it will take quite a bit of time to check each one out, LOL!
