[Video Post] Japan, Kitakyushu daytrip, part II. Kokura castle visit, Riverwalk shopping mall.

in #travel5 years ago

Hey, there... Another video to promote in my personal blog. Here's the second part of the daytrip to Kitakyushu in Japan, during my autumn trip.

Sadly the Kokura castle was under reconstruction, but we were able to walk in the beautiful traditional style Japanese garden. I have actually visited the Kokura castle before and had the chance to climb up to the very top of it, but this time only walked by. Well, the trip itself was very good and full of great moments and nice scenery. Visiting Japan always makes me feel great and I want to go again and again. It seems like I cannot really get enough of this country and it never gets boring.

So... Enjoy my video and please, Subscribe to my channel.
See ya!

Excellent video, very well achieved, I like the rhythmic montage, is the favorite when composing videos. music too relaxing to be at that moment walking and listening to the same timepo.

i like your record of the details of the old japanese style courtyard architecture and that of the mall as well. everything is very simple and cool. nice plans.

thank you for sharing this little piece of japan

greetings peace and love

Thanks a lot for your comment! I’m happy to hear other people share the same thoughts as me. I put a great effort in cutting and editing the videos and of course linking it properly to the music. Well, I don’t have same succes every time, but give my best to improve my abilities.

Thanks again!

Awesome vid @mdosev! Where did you get the music from? It's always one thing I'm looking for in my vids because I'm looking for good music but free hahaha or something I can help the artist share. Love this song!

Japan is one of the countries I would love to visit. It's at the top of my list at the moment. It seems like such a beautiful place and I've heard nothing but great things. It looks like you're having a fabulous time! I briefly stopped in Tokyo but only at the airport on my way to Vietnam. I would have loved to stay a few days and check out the city!

Great job with the editing and thanks for sharing! Cheers!

Well, I browse my music from a great channel in YouTube. It’s all about royalty free music and no copyright music. You can check their content and they have a lot!

As for Japan, I will go there again and again, if I have the chance, but, really... not for staying there for more than two or three weeks hehe. Okay, I can stay even a month if I keep on traveling around the country, but I really don’t see myself going there to work.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Oh that's awesome! Thanks for that link. That'll help out a lot. I shoot a lot of stuff with my drone and finding music is always the hardest part. Good music is so hard to come by. I appreciate that.

I've heard it's very expensive in Japan. Is that generally true throughout the entire country or just in the big cities? Either way I want to find a way to get there. Whether for work or for play, it seems like a truly beautiful place to visit.

Cheers!

Shooting with a drone... that's something that I want to buy so much right now. Videos can be truly more intriguing with some air footage.

Japan is expensive in some aspects, while in others is comparable to the not so expensive countries. While public transportation and accommodation are really expensive, the food and other goods are relatively cheap. Japanese people value people's labor at a very high levels, so everything involving a lot of human intervention is expensive.

Still, you have some cheaper places, where you can stay and enjoy the culture of Japan.

Ahhh gotcha. Yeah, I've heard the same thing about transportation being expensive. Good to know the food isn't too bad though. That can be a big one when traveling.

I'm all about that drone life! Love them so much. Although a friend of my traveling through Thailand says he needs to ship his home because they've outlawed them there? Or possibly made it illegal to fly without a license. You definitely need to watch where you fly them and the laws surrounding them. But once you get them in the air you can get some truly stunning views. It really can bring together a video piece. Such a fantastic piece of technology.

Thank you for sharing your video adventure in Japan. I have visited Tokyo and Kyoto last 2016 and I can say that indeed, Japan is a nice country and it is worth revisiting.

I haven't heard about Kitakyushu perfecture. It looks like you took the unbeaten path on yout visit. That is a good one because I believe there are not much tourists and you can have the place more peacefully.

How high is the Kokura castle? Anything special in it?

Well, I have visited a lot of not-so-tourist places, and I must admit that it is a pleasure to visit all the smaller prefectures. I myself am not fond of crowded places, where everyone goes, and often tend to visit small streets aside from the busy tourist streets and places. I love to experience the pure culture of the countries, so I try my best to avoid the tourists. This doesn't mean, that I don't like Tokyo. THe capital has its own charm, which is absolutely amazing and you cannot miss it!

About the height of Kokura castle, I am not sure. I've never seen any info on that, but I assume, that the upper observation deck is about 40 meters high. It's just located in a very beautiful park, and Kitakyushu is very peaceful city, although it hosts the biggest port on the Kyushu island.

I fully agree in taking the less commercialized and touristy places. I have experienced that Japan alone and was able to compare Tokyo and Kyoto. The latter is still a touristy place but still more peaceful and not crowded as compared to Tokyo. Somehow we were able to move more freely without elbowing our ways around like in Tokyo.

Okay, that made me check on Google map to see where Kitakyushu is in Japan. I did not realize it is almost on the southernmost part. Very far from Tokyo. I wonder if it has international airport that a foreigner can directly land into (though I can't find one based on the flights that are coming from my country). I just thought of that because the common Tokyo and Osaka airports are very far if travelled by land.

Well, I would recommend visiting Fukuoka too. It’s bigger city and I find it a bit more foreigners’ place. Both Fukuoka and Kitakyushu have international airports.

I'll keep that in mind. I am just hoping that opportunity would be opened so I can visit Japan again. Thanks for sharing those details.

Great music! Actually perfect for presenting Japan :)

I love the serenity of the Japanese gardens in the middle of the concrete jungle. And I like that there is a lot of water around. It's good for people who live in the city to have a place to relax and enjoy the nature as well.

I haven't been to Japan yet but it is definitely on my travel list. It's such a beautiful, well organized country and I've heard that people are very nice.

Nota Bene - people.. there were not that many tourists visible in your video. Is Kokura castle not very well known? Or did you go there off the season?

I also like the part that you were taking while being in a car. The curve looks never-ending :D

Thank you for sharing. It looks like you had a lot of fun during your trip.

I cannot say, that I went off-season. Maybe the fact we went on a workday, and the castle itself was not open is wat makes the place not very crowded. And yes, it was under reconstruction as well.

People in japan always seem very nice and if you go there someday, you will definitely see a whole new world like nothing elsewhere.

Too bad that the castle has been closed for reconstruction, I imagine that your visit to Kitakyushu was very exciting. I liked watching the video and getting to know a little more about the culture and life of the Japanese people. I love traveling to other places through my computer and thanks to users like you who share this type of content.

Great comment! Thank you. I’m happy, that other people enjoy visiting the places I’ve been through my videos or photos. I’ve actually went in the castle in the past when it was not under reconstruction, but no photos or videos back then.

Absolutely beautiful video and you captured very well the main historical places. It is amazing how the people care after their heritage and keep them in Top condition. Sadly in Europe we see many places that need to be renovated but the government has not always enough resources. While watching the video i thought if there any litter7garbage laying around but have not see any, that is something we see more often in Europe. I like the combination of modern and historical, beautifully presented in your video trip. Thank you for sharing :)

Thanks for the comment! Yup, in Japan litter is absolutely not existent on the streets. I have only once or twice seen dirty places and it was in Tokyo.

Amazing, considering the population of Japan and such a small territory wish we could educate our children and adults :)

Hah I thought in the beginning it's Casey's vlog :D The selection of music was suuuupersimilar to his taste.

And Japan looks amazing :) I wish I'll get there once...I liked how you started with more nature and slowly changed the environment for the city.

Well, I am not familiar with this vlog, but thanks for the comment! Started making videos just a couple of months ago and still learning. I'm happy to hear you liked the video!

Oh I thought everyone knows Casey Neistat. Check him out on YT, he makes videos daily and that edit is absolutely amazing!
